For that day I shall:
a) purchase a higher couch to hide behind!
b) take up smoking 1,000 cigarettes a day - but only for 90 minutes!
c) take up nail biting again - anyone's nails will do when mine disappear!
d) buy a dog for ki..ing (I am only joking, all those animal lovers)
e) make sure the spade, rake and wheelbarrow are ready out in the back garden for....well, anything to occupy my mind elsewhere
f) buy more cushions for the couch, no - to throw at TV
g) stay off ToffeeWeb Live Forum unless we are winning 5-0 with half a minute to go

Too true Phil - think it was gary linekar about 15 years ago who first came out with it in football terms.

I still like it every year though - easily pleased me.....(unless we're talking Everton!)

I won't be there, that's for sure — not after last season. I have decided never to set foot in Anfield ever again while Moyes is in charge and probably beyond. In truth, I can't stand the fucking shithole or the twats that go there. YNWA makes me sick, never mind hairs on the back of me neck. My tickets shall go to someone who is a sucker for self-inflicted torture...

Kevin 683,
For all the influence he had on the previous away derby game take the manager with you

This now means our depression hangovers will be in work time rather than Sunday itself! Damn you, Sky!

By the 5th May, we will be 7 points clear of the shite so the result won't matter.

Sorry guys for the interruption, I must just nip out to take my meds. What day/year is it? Boy, these pills are good.

5th May is my sister's birthday - I might go and visit her this year - she's half blind, deaf and doesn't have a tele - talks all the time tho and hates football.

Yea, I'll give her a visit on the 5th - two birds etc.

I was beginning to wonder when this would be moved as the shite have to recieve extra Premier League TV money every single weekend without fail. I would like to know just how much extra they have recieved this season, more than Man City? Arsenal? Chelsea?, Spurs? even Man Utd?, probably enough to fund the purchase and wages of Sturridge?

It's a pity the two Mancunians plotting to get Joss Stone weren't looking at Luis Suarez...

Well thank you Sky et al... that's fucked up an Art Gallery / Bob Dylan event I was involved in at the Old Bridewell Prison/Jail (now a center for artists) at 2pm.

Then again... come along... I can do 'Tangled Up In Blue'... 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue' and I'm sure others!!!

Fuck Sky etc.

The three away games against L'pool, Arsenal and Chelsea may define our lasting memory of Mr. Moyes if he does decide to leave.

It would be a shame to have a stat of nearly 50 games away to certain teams and never to have won. I am being serious when I say he doesn't deserve to be remembered in that way, but it will clearly be a major talking point of his time here.

As blues, we really don't demand as much as other supporters of big clubs, but his record against the shite is awful, and that is something we can't forgive easily.

If we can go and get a couple of wins away against any two of the above, and finish above the shite in 6th or even 5th, it would be a fitting way to leave if he is going.

If we finish 7th, and witness the usual capitulations, he would leave with a meh of indifference in my eyes.

Chris - the real piss take is they know all along that they're going to televise the derbies so why not give fans plenty of notice and schedule them in from the start?

For the first time, I have no desire to watch it.

I am completely sick of our Anfield performances. I came to the conclusion we have a mental problem playing there after the 2nd occasion of shitting it when they have had 10 men. I can't remember the year, it was when Fellaini & the rank Greek did each other and we allowed Kuyt a header inside the 6 yard box from a corner. The second half was a complete no show.

I can see goals in this. May as well be honest, we have problems controlling Suarez and will probably need 3 goals to win. And we don't do that. I would, in time honoured fashion, take a draw now.

However, if we can do Arsenal......

As an already sleep deprived new father... living in New Zealand... Will I be getting up at 12:30am to watch it? Of course I will! Might even get the little'un up to watch with me... she's got a record of watched one, won one, so could prove to be my lucky charm!

Whilst I agree with much of what's been said about our previous performances there, especially last season's, something has to change eventually and why not now? Nothing to fear but fear itself and those Reds must love all this self induced fatalistic giving up before we start stuff. Gives them a boost from the word go. Fight fire with fire, don't be afraid and the Team can respond to us and do the business!

If that yard dog Collins can negate Suarez then anyone can.

We'll beat them. Whether the devil's got their soul or not.

Karl, "something has to change eventually and why not now?" For something to change Karl, the mentality of the manager has to change.

Been wanting to say this for a while now, especially since Saturdays performance though.
I know there was an article on this recently, but it must be said.
We have to start going into games with chest out, world beaters, top class players – who nonetheless have to work hard mentality –
Why on earth do we start (thanks Tim Howard) after 60 mins. a goal up start to play defensively, slow the game down, let the fear creep in that maybe the other team will score, so don’t think about giving the ball away etc… this mentality with 30 mins. to go against a team like Spurs (or any team for that matter) is a killer – fear of last minute failure grips you.
How many last minute goals have we seen recently ? only takes 2 minutes for 2 goals – ask Malaga.
So – instead of retreating into your own half, afraid of your life to make a mistake, hoofing the ball away when you get it…. Play as you can, use your talent, attack & keep the other team under pressure – keep the ball – yes, but stop playing back to keeper. Hold it up, let the other team make mistakes, foul out of frustration. I know we’re not Barcelona, but we have players who can pass, who can keep the ball – all we need is someone with a level head in midfield to keep it together, and moving in the one direction.
It’s not rocket science, but if you think – too risky to try for another goal, 1 goal lead is enough – then you die and your Top 4 dream is down the drain.
So, Tim Howard – stop that crap next time- even Big Vic. (who was excellent on Saturday) can hold it up well, and he’s one of our weaker players.
Get the chest out, head clear of fear and do the job properly. I don’t need to remind anyone of our Wembley Outing last year when we were a much better team, but were eaten up by fear any negativity. Enough of that crap. We are Everton. If DM can’t get this into their heads then either he gets in a sports psychologist or gets out.

I won't set foot inside that shithole Anfield, you just know the ref whoever he is, is going to give them everything – that's not being bitter, it's just a fact of life.

I will be wearing my lucky boxers, lucky socks my lucky shirt... might even take next door's lucky rabbit to the pub with me to watch it. If we don't beat them after that, we never will.

Different angle on topic but sky recent fixture announcements mean Man Utd last 8 games of the season will be shown live on sky. As well as every single fa cup tie they have played since 2004 [42 games].

The thing is though Tony, sky is all about ratings and with the Mancs being huge box office all over the world, you could understand why they are on the most.

Worst possible thing is an early kick off. We're terrible before half three.

Phone off so no-one can contact me and going for a 2-hour walk that day I'm afraid then I'll put the score on on my phone and look through squinted eyes, absolutely shitting myself as I'm doing it. We could win every game between now and then... but we won't win that one.

God, I'm one miserable bastard! I just know what's going to happen and I don't want to witness it. I thought I'd mellow as I get older; I haven't.
