Since Moyes has not signed a new contract, I suppose we have entered the 'silly season' who will be and who won't be Everton's next manager. Who ever will be the next manager, all they have to do is guarantee that Everton will finish in the top half in his first season and champions league the following. Moyes has done a great job of getting the best out of some mediocre players at Everton right now.

This will no doubt end up as just another rumour, but to all those who seem to think there is no one out there who could replace him and possibly improve us this is just one example of many that could do it. Only problem is its the Dear Leader doing the choosing......

I know the Portuguese League rather well. Victor Pereira, in spite of winning the League last season, has been mostly a disappointment. He was Andre Villas-Boas' number two, and was promoted when AVB left for Chelsea. If ever I saw a man with a total lack of charisma, then Pereira is that man. Porto are, apparently, not renewing his contract at the end of the season, even though they are still unbeaten in the League - trailing Benfica by four points - but the Portuguese League has become a two-horse race, such is the chasm between these two clubs and the rest of the field.

This may, of course, only be a baseless rumour, but I wouldn't be too thrilled if he was appointed.

This is Kenwright we're talking about, do you think he'll be looking to Portugal? No, of course not, he'll be going for another yes man like Moyes, so we can dismiss this speculation right off.

David
Don't worry mate, we've had a manager with a total lack of charisma for 11 years now.

Ross, Pereira is even more of a yes-man than Moyes, believe you me, and as for the charisma, compared to him Moyes looks like Brian Clough.
