Great piece. It shows that life in 2015 has some improvements over the 1880s, even though I love the idea of Blackburn Olympic and Charterhouse Old Boys winning the FA Cup. But dying at 31 of what sounds like pneumonia is just awful. The good old days are not really that good after all.

Great read, as per usual, Tony.

On another note, do you have any advice on what I should do with whatÂ’s happened with Countyvise the publishers of my book whom I know you have books with too? I've been left in limbo with this, being very inexperienced in this stuff... Cheers.

Paul. First I had heard about Countrywise. Like yourself, I have not had any contact with them for sometime now... My computer is down at the min but I will be in Liverpool Central Library on Thursday, top floor, or else send me your mobile number and I will contact you.
