The guys try to make sense of Everton's unfathomable implosion when they became the first Premier League team to lose a game when leading 2-0 as late as the 87th minute.

They debate whether it's too soon to be thinking about replacing Sean Dyche, what he will need to do to turn things around while taking some solace from a fine performance that put the Blues into a winning position before they fell apart.

They also briefly chat about the deadline day business and, in view of Iliman Ndiaye's display, other memorable players who got Evertonian bums off their seat in anticipation down the years.

Enjoyed that chat lads. Though I'm still seething.

When it went 2-2, why didn't Dyche make 3 subs and stop the play and Bournemouth's momentum? To smell it and do sod all, is down to him.

I don't compare it to our other well-noted cock-ups because it's the first time in Premier League history it has happened. Other cock-ups have happened to other teams too but none have experienced this — and against the mighty Bournemouth to boot. Disgraceful and Disgusting.

A few words about our team:

Pickford — no pre-season and it shows.
Coleman — injured and not much of a pre-season. Not up to 2 games in 5 days now.
Tarkowski — a glute injury takes 4 to 6 weeks and means you will struggle to run and jump. He looks to be playing on with it. Not much of a pre-season.
Keane — panics too much when the pressure comes on.
Mykolenko — not played well since the injury against Liverpool; involved in the Euros and not much of a pre-season.
McNeil — too much going on at home?
Harrison — did his own workouts before pre-season.
Iroegbunham — thrown in the deep end and has struggled for stamina… see above.
Gueye — best years behind him and should be a squad player now.
Calvert-Lewin — wants out but still doing what he can.
Ndiaye — good preseason and Dyche finally played him before Doucouré!
Doucouré — I would let him go if the Saudis want him.
Beto — never an Premier League player. A trier though.
Young — only in an emergency.
Garner — no pre-season; once fit, must compete with Iroegbunam
Mangala — match fit, played for Lyon already. Must replace Gueye as 1st choice defensive midfielder.
O'Brien — needs to be playing.
Dixon & Harrison — two fine looking prospects on what we have seen so far; hopefully they will get game time.
Chermitti — needs to get fit pronto.
Broja — unknown quantity; no preseason… hopefully he comes good.

Talk of Trippier coming as he seeks to cancel his contract with Newcastle.

I live in hope that Sean Dyche has learned a massive lesson from what happened against Bournemouth. But it is too soon for us to shout from the rooftops for his resignation or sacking.

We've made too many knee-jerk changes in a relatively short period. But, he does needs to change.

It was as clear to the nose on our faces that we played well until the 87th minute and were on the way to winning the game. So there is something to build on.

Thanks, fellas.

Bob, only a minority are shouting from the rooftops about Dyche but he will need to manifest another of his turnarounds in the team's fortunes to keep it that way!

Great listen Lyndon, but hearing from Rob Halligan, Danny, my mates who are ST holders, and others, I would not minimise the expressed and felt anger towards Dyche. I think it might rather be two-thirds of the way towards the end of the tether for significant numbers.

But of course you're right, a 'turnaround' and those who hover around the Dyche in or outline will get back on board because it's all that they can do right now.

That was a very good summary from Jack of where we are at with the squad. It makes you realise the majority are still moving back towards their best from either injury, pre-season shortened, or simply the reaction to moving to a new club.

All are going to be better again after the 2-week break and, of course, Branthwaite in particular and Patterson to return.

The one thing we have learnt from Dyche with Calvert-Lewin is he is good at ensuring injured players only return when 100%.

I remain optimistic the team will learn and improve significantly over the next few weeks.
