Everton Shareholders Association
Reform Group

An Introduction to the ESA Reform Group Manifesto

 Reform Group

The Reform Group has prepared a development plan for the Everton Football Club Company Ltd Shareholders Association.  The Shareholders Association is the oldest organisation of its kind and we would like to ensure that it remains nothing less than the benchmark against which others are judged.

The stated aims of the Shareholders Association are threefold;

  1. To safeguard the rights of the Shareholders of the Club
  2. To promote and foster any object that is in the best interest of the Club and its Shareholders
  3. To develop a social side to the Association's activities.

We believe that over the years the Shareholders Association has broadly succeeded in achieving these objectives.  However, as the Company has undergone significant change (and the industry of football has been similarly transformed over the last 10 years) there remain areas where the Shareholders Association can make a more positive contribution to 'the best interest of the Club and its Shareholders'.

The Reform Group has prepared a manifesto for the proposed reform of the Shareholders Association.  The manifesto is intended to build upon the strong foundations already in place.  It addresses the areas where we believe more can be done to enable the Club and the Company to benefit from the assistance, expertise, enthusiasm and commitment of the wider shareholding base and indeed, Everton fans in general.

We would ask that you spend some time reviewing the manifesto.  If you are are an Everton shareholder interested in supporting this reform agenda, then we would urge you to attend the Shareholders Association AGM on June 2 where this manifesto will be discussed.  We have sought not to by-pass the Shareholders Association Officers and to circulate the manifesto with their assistance and agreement.  Our intention is to have an informed debate on June 2 and for members to be aware in advance of our proposals.

In the meantime, if you have any further questions regarding the manifesto or any other matter raised in this letter, please feel free to contact any of the people listed below.  We hope to see as many of you as possible on June 2 or at Goodison Park in the near future.

Thank You.
