The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a contract that will run until June 2016, and earn him up to £70k a week. It will provide a significant boost to EFC manager David Moyes who has been hopeful of tying up the future of his £12M signing from Standard Liege in 2008, now a crucial cog in his midfield. Fellaini's current deal was due to expire in summer 2013, but the worst case scenario was that a player valued at £30M might allow that to run down and then be able to move for a much lower fee in a similar fashion to Steven Pienaar.
