Season › 2011-12 › News Jelavic suffering from athletic pubalgia Michael Kenrick , 17 February, 5comments | Jump to most recent Nikica Jelavic says he is frustrated his career at Everton has been put on hold, as he continues to suffer from athletic pubalgia, an inflammation of the pubic bone. The injury forced the former Rangers striker to miss the 2-0 win over Chelsea last Saturday and, depending on the severity, he could require groin surgery. Jelavic though is hopeful the injury is not too bad and he will be fit to return to action in Everton's next league game after being ruled out of Saturday's FA Cup tie against Blackpool. Due to Liverpool contesting the Carling Cup final, the Merseyside derby is postponed meaning the Toffees will not play again until 3rd March when they travel to QPR.
