Shane Duffy, Jose Baxter, Ross Barkley, Francisco Junior and Apostolos Vellios will all feature for the Blues, while midfielder Adam Forshaw is set to make a first outing since breaking his jaw on loan at Brentford in March. The familiar teenage trio of Tyias Browning, Eric Dier and Ibou Touray will join Duffy in front of stopper Adam Davies, with John Lundstram the player to complete Everton's midfield alongside Baxter, Barkley, Junior and Forshaw. Everton started to press their illustrious hosts from the start, and it required a great save from the Arsenal keeper to Vellios after just 7 mins off a great cutback by Browning advancing down the right. It was then Davies's turn at the other end to palm away a shot. On 18 mins, Baxter and Barkley combined well, along Barkley to run through and draw first blood for the Blues with a fine strike. Everton were then given a penalty a few minutes later and it was 2 - 0 as Baxter slotted home from the spot. Baxter tried to score from all of 45 yards out before the break, his effort flying just over. Half-Time: Arsenal Res 0 - 2 Everton Res Arsenal tried their best to recover in the second half, but with no success. There was some afters when Baxter went in a little hard on defender Angha, who was later booked for dragging Baxter back. Baxter was replaced by Hope near the end. Everton take all three points and secure 3rd place in the FA Premier Reserve League (North Section) Everton Res (4-5-1): Davies; Browning, Duffy, Dier, Touray; Baxter (86' Hope), Forshaw (70' Orenuga), Barkley, Junior, Lundstram; Vellios.
