Coleman on standby; Heitinga in provisional Dutch squad
Darron Gibson has been named in Giovanni Trapattoni's 23-man Republic of Ireland squad for next month's European Championships in Poland/Ukraine.

The midfielder has 17 caps for Ireland and could, if selected, face teammate Nikica Jelavic in their opening game against Croatia in Poznan, Poland on 10th June.

Seamus Coleman is only on standby, however, and Shane Duffy, who made his senior bow in February, has not been selected.

Meanwhile, John Heitinga is in Bert van Marwijk's 35-man provisional Netherlands squad but the Everton defender is expected to be a shoo-in to make the final 23.
