Silva angling for a return to Portugal

Still unable to get near the first team at Goodison Park, Joao Silva says that he would be open to the chance of joining Vitoria Guimaraes in his native Portugal if the chance arose.

The 22 year-old striker spent most of last season on loan back in his homeland with Vitoria Setubal and is keen to get back to Portugal even if Everton don't seem keen to let him go, even though they'd lose him for nothing next summer when his contract expires.

"Everton do not want my exit but this move would be of interest to me," he apparently told A Bola.

"Guimaraes were always a club that pleased me.

"I do not want to say too much on the subject but if the chance arises I would not rule it out."
