Season › 2013-14 › News Seamus: We should have taken the points Lyndon Lloyd , 11 November, 0comments | Jump to most recent Seamus Coleman admits that the three points were there for Everton's taking on Saturday but they simply didn't create enough chances. The Irish international speaks of his pride in back-to-back clean sheets for the Blues' defence, where he credits the continuity of a settled back four and goalkeeper, but says that the players were disappointed not to capitalise on the heavy contrast in form between themselves and Crystal Palace coming into the game. "It's important to keep a clean sheet and we did that," he says. "You've got to keep the ball of course, and that's something we do under the new manager," he said. "But you've got to keep it for a reason and that's to create chances. "We didn't create enough for the amount of possession we had, it's as simple as that. "We went to Palace playing well and with confidence so, with no disrespect to them, the way we're playing we should be going to those places and getting three points. "It wasn't to be, though, because we just couldn't break them down." About these ads © ToffeeWeb
