Talks with Monaco are now scheduled to complete the acquisition of the giant striker on loan until the end of the season. The former Anzhi Makhachkala player, who was only bought by Monaco for £15m earlier this month, underwent a medical at Finch Farm over the weekend and while the granting of clearance to play in the Premier League was assumed to be the last impediment to Traoré completing his move, Everton say that, "talks are ongoing with Monaco." The deal had been expected to go through, however — the French club's preference for Goodison Park over Upton Park was reported to be one of the reasons why an arrangement with West Ham fell through last week — until Monaco's Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao, had to be stretchered off with a suspected injury to his anterior crucial knee ligament which could have prematurely ended his season. Equipe in France are reporting that Monaco will assess the player's knee before making any decision over Traore. About these ads © ToffeeWeb
