Season › 2013-14 › News Coleman eyes silverware Lyndon Lloyd , 17 February, 0comments | Jump to most recent Seamus Coleman says that winning the FA Cup "would be massive" and would provide a stepping stone to greater things for Everton. The Irish international was speaking in the aftermath of yesterday's Fifth Round win over Swansea City that set up a date with Arsenal at The Emirates in the quarter finals next month after the Gunners knocked Liverpool out with a 2-1 win. "It is going to be a difficult draw," Coleman said, "but you have to beat them all at some stage if you want to win and there are some good teams still in it. "We want to go as far as we can. I've been here five years now and I've not won anything so it would be nice to win and there are other lads who have been here longer who want to win it as well. "It would lift the club as a whole. Winning an FA Cup is massive for any club and it would be as big for us and a big stepping stone for other things." The Blues continue to battle on two fronts this season, with a place in the Champions League still not out of the question despite the gap that has opened up below fourth place. Coleman cites the improving injury situation at Goodison as cause for optimism for the remainder of the season, including the team's hopes for Wembley glory. "We have Rom (Lukaku) coming back from injury so we are starting to get stronger after a few injuries with Antolin Alcaraz nearly back as well," Coleman continued. "We have got a good squad and for the things we are looking for this season we need a big squad." Quotes sourced from Sky Sports About these ads © ToffeeWeb
