Season › 2013-14 › News Help shape the future of Everton's Fans' Forum , 9 May, 0comments | Jump to most recent Everton are offering supporters the opportunity to input into how the Everton Fans' Forum will operate in the future. The Forum, which enables fans to share valuable feedback and shape key decisions, is being reviewed ahead of next season to ensure it is operating effectively for its members, the Club and the wider Everton fan base. As the whole initiative is about gathering feedback and listening to supporters, the Club and Forum is turning to the wider fan base for their views on how the format should evolve by asking them to complete a short online survey. The questionnaire looks at the role and responsibilities of the Forum, how members are recruited, format of the meetings, the sort of issues that should be discussed, and how supporters can contact Forum members. Article continues below video content Feedback from the survey will be considered alongside research into similar fan engagement practices at other football clubs and in other sports. The review exercise has been carried out in conjunction with the existing Forum members and they will also share their views on the next step forward for the initiative. As it stands, Evertonians can join the Forum on an annual basis with four new members taking up posts each year to serve a maximum three-year term. However, in 2012 it was agreed that a review would be carried out in 2014 to confirm that the Forum was still achieving its joint objectives to both the fans and the Club. Regular meetings give the forum the chance to get closer to the Club, challenge staff on a range of issues, and work alongside staff on certain projects, such as the brand-new Dixie Dean Wall of Fame. Meanwhile, from the Club's perspective the Forum is a valuable sounding board to test policies and initiatives, and offers a useful way to gain insight and ideas directly from supporters. Initially set up to give supporters a sense of ownership and participation in the Club, the Forum has contributed to a vast number of projects, including: Ticketing initiatives, particularly junior pricing and increased Season Ticket payment options Ensuring supporter safety at Goodison and away grounds, by working collaboratively with Club staff and Liverpool City Council Enhancing the matchday experience through the expansion of the Fan Zone, by working directly with the Club Taking the lead on the Goodison Gateway project — to rehouse the Dixie Dean statue and introduce Goodison Granites on behalf of supporters. All supporters are encouraged to complete the survey and the deadline is 16 May 2014. The outcome of the review will be shared on evertonfc.com in due course.
