Season › 2014-15 › News Under-18s knock Bury for Six! Michael Kenrick , 15 July, 1comment | Jump to most recent Everton Under-18s began their pre-season schedule in fine style. Fresh after returning from six days of training in Austria, the young Blues welcomed the Shakers to Finch Farm for the first friendly of the summer. And goals from Calum Dyson, Nathan Holland, Charley Edge and George Newell, as well as a brace from Delial Brewster made it a convincing run-out. Kevin Sheedy's side went ahead midway through the first half when Steven Kinsella ran into the box only to be brought down. Striker Dyson netted the resulting spot-kick. In the second half, Holland bundled home from close range after good work by Dyson before substitute Edge fired in from the edge of the area soon after the hour-mark. The entire outfield was swapped out on the hour-mark, with forwards Brewster and Newell adding their names to the scoresheet, while Bury's late goal was mere consolation. Everton U-18s: O'Loughlin; Myers (60' Robinson), Thorniley (60' Mellen), Yarney (60' Graham), Yates (60' Birch); Walsh (60 Davies) Connolly (60' Bainbridge) Charsley (60' Broadhead); Holland (60' Edge), Kinsella (60 Newell), Dyson (60' Brewster).
