Interesting interview, as the headline intimated that it is some 6 years ago, but nevertheless is an insight into how his mind works.

He appears focussed on the football ethic and strives to be the best in his performances against whoever the opposition may be.

He seems supremely confident in his own ability without being arrogant, and is prepared to work hard to achieve that.

I am glad we have got him aboard, and while I appreciate he is in the twilight of his career, we would never have been an option for him when he was sought by all the top clubs. I just feel the following two years will be a revelation, and he will quickly become a crowd favourite at Goodison.
