Blues new deal with The Protein Works

Everton have signed a new two-year deal with THE PROTEIN WORKS™, the Club's official bespoke sports nutrition supplier.

After a successful first season with the innovative sports nutrition brand the Blues have extended the partnership which will now run until the end of the 2015-16 season.

The company formulate and manufacture high-performance sports nutrition supplements, using ultra pure, premium grade natural ingredients. At the forefront of scientific research, The PROTEIN WORKS™ creates cutting-edge formulas to help elite team fitness and conditioning levels.

As part of the new two-year deal, images of Everton players will be used to promote the bespoke products that THE PROTEIN WORKS™ have to offer.

First team Fitness Coach, Matt Taberner, has been working closely with experts at THE PROTEIN WORKS™ during the close season to develop a number of highly tailored recovery formulas for the squad. This now also includes the development of a bespoke hydration product to help enhance recovery post-training and post-match.

He said: “Following on from last season's successful collaboration with THE PROTEIN WORKS™ we are delighted to not only continue the relationship, but extend and expand upon an already strong foundation of leading sports nutrition support.

“Over the summer we sat down with THE PROTEIN WORKS™ and discussed how we could upgrade and improve the current bespoke formulas to optimise the recovery processes even further. This will be especially important this season due to the additional number of fixtures the players will be involved in.”

Matt added: “With the players training harder and more intensely than ever before and fixture schedules becoming more demanding, it's essential we have the very best and tailor-made supplements available to work hand in hand with our conditioning programmes and recovery strategies.”

Mark Coxhead from THE PROTEIN WORKS™, based in Runcorn added: "This season the squad will have access to unparalleled levels of bespoke sports nutrition, with recovery shakes specifically formulated based on a player's weight.
