Disclaimer Nicholas Page 1 Posted 02/10/2014 at 20:47:24 How the fuck Phil Jagielka is in the Ingerlund squad is anyoneÂs fucking guess. Reeks of (almost) Sky6 nepotism. Lyndon Lloyd 2 Posted 02/10/2014 at 20:52:41 Perhaps it's because he's one of the best English centre halves in the game? Jack Cross 3 Posted 02/10/2014 at 22:02:40 Lyndon Lloyd. You must be watching Jags with your eyes closed. He made another rick tonight in Russia. Harold Matthews 4 Posted 02/10/2014 at 23:55:40 Pleased for the lads but Southgate has messed up leaving out Tylas Browning. He's up against an exceptional bunch but they don't have his two footed ability and recovery speed. Sam Hoare 5 Posted 03/10/2014 at 01:19:02 Considering how highly our academy players are thought of there are quite few in the u20/21 squads. No Galloway, Browning, Ledson, Mcaleny, Kenny etc hopefully there will be more in the coming years. Oscar Huglin 6 Posted 03/10/2014 at 14:28:14 Thank you for being the voice of reason, Lyndon. Jagielka has been a fantastic servant to this club and a brilliant captain. Yes, heÂs having a bit of a blip now, but why not get behind him rather than slaughtering him... Maybe be happy for our players who are getting called up instead of taking the opportunity to tell everyone how bad they are? Phill Thompson 7 Posted 03/10/2014 at 14:15:22 Sam, Brendan Galloway is in the U19s squad, played in September and named for an upcoming October tournament. Ledson and Kenny are in the U18s squad, together with Callum Connolly, who if I remember right is only about 16. Throw in Long at U20, Garbutt at U21 and guys like Jones, Byrne, Kennedy, not forgetting David Henen, all playing for their respective countries, and we look to have a good crop of youngsters. Whether they can break into the PL squad after good international exposure is another matter, of course... eg, Lundstram. Peter Fearon 8 Posted 03/10/2014 at 14:32:09 Lyndon, he is indeed one of the best English centre-halfs in the game but he is in poor form and that alone should disqualify any player from the national squad. Another howler in Krasnodar. Frankly, I have more confidence in Stones right now than in Jags. but either way it leaves me cold that any of our players have to risk their limbs playing for that other London club, England.
