Season › 2014-15 › News Report: Everton concerned Osman may need surgery Lyndon Lloyd , 17 December, 8comments | Jump to most recent Leon Osman may require an operation to correct an unspecified foot injury according to a report by MailOnline. The veteran midfielder was absent from the team sheet against Queens Park Rangers on Monday night and has apparently had his foot in a protective boot as he recovers from an injury that he presumably picked up in training. His absence could exacerbate Roberto Martinez's midfield selection problems should James McCarthy's spell in the sidelines be prolonged further and Kevin Mirallas's ankle injury keep him out of action for any length of time. Disclaimer Len Hawkins 2 Posted 17/12/2014 at 07:36:37 I have no wish to be considered an Ossie knocker.Did Osman slip up in training showing Besic how Case finished Nulty off? Now there was a player who wore the Blue shirt with very little skill along with Belfitt I donÂt think Osman will be considered in their class. Jim Bennings 4 Posted 17/12/2014 at 07:57:23 We have had horrendous fortune all season with injuries, is there no let up to them? Trevor Lynes 8 Posted 17/12/2014 at 11:18:37 I did wonder why he was not on the bench and I reckon we miss him more than what some fans believe. He is a clever player and links play up well between defensive midfield and forwards. Playing a little deeper allows him to receive the ball in front of him and he has that bit more guile than any other player presently on our books. His 400th league game goal illustrated the fact clearly as he ran half the length of the pitch to be in position to slot home and that was late on. Hope he returns soon otherwise we will need to dig deep next month to find an adequate replacement for him. We now need a wide man and a playmaker plus a goalkeeper to replace Tim soon. Brian Burns 12 Posted 17/12/2014 at 17:33:43 He did it kicking an item on the road in town in the early hours. I found this out on Sunday morning. Acting daft with two other EFC players. Colin Glassar 15 Posted 17/12/2014 at 18:29:59 An item, Brian? Were they playing kick the can? Steve Carse 16 Posted 17/12/2014 at 18:37:32 Kick the kopite maybe? Barry Thompson 17 Posted 17/12/2014 at 18:44:03 "an operation to correct an unspecified foot injury" -They can't figure out why both of his big toes are on the right hand side of each foot Bobby Thomas 18 Posted 18/12/2014 at 18:13:18 We need to buy two ball playing attacking midfielders.
