It's being reported that Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto'o has refused to take part in a double training session this morning.

Eto'o has only recently joined the Blucerchiati, arriving from English Premier League side Everton.

Samp were beaten 5-1 by Torino at the weekend, with Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic declaring that the squad would be made to do double training sessions as a punishment.

However, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, after completing the first session, the Cameroonian forward left the training ground without speaking to Mihajlovic.

Classic story on Eto'o... pity we didn't make any money on him just to rub more salt into the wound.

Now saying Eto'o is considering his contract with Sampdoria. Looks like the rumours of him causing unrest in the dressing room could be true, good move by Martinez letting him go.

He couldn't get in for extra training because his head would have got stuck in the dressing room door.

Samuel Eto'o seems to be settling well at Sampdoria...

Simon Jones: Reports in Italy of a bust-up at Sampdoria between coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and new signing Samuel Eto'o.

The coach ordered a double training session after 5-1 defeat to Torino but Eto'o allegedly didn't turn up for the second session at 3pm amid claims he had a prior commitment in Milan in the afternoon.

Apparently, Eto'o is staying at the same Genoa hotel as Mihajlovic. Table for two tonight?

I just posted that myself Timothy. Ridiculous that blues were using the Eto'o to add to their Martinez is rubbish/incompetent/shite narrative. Nothing more than a modern day selfish footballer

It seems to happen a lot, a person is liable to get cantankerous as they age. Despite the big smile he's probably a bit of a victor meldrew'o.

I'm even more convinced that Samuel Eto'o and Kevin Pietersen are in fact the same person!!

Sounds as if we are well rid of this clown,he has only been at Sampdoria for a week!

The courting of Eto'o by Sampdoria was a disgrace in my opinion but It looks like they deserve each other. I sincerely hope it all ends in tears.

Well, well, well - maybe good thing we got shut of...

Following the team's 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Torino in which Eto'o came on as a late substitute, Sinisa Mihajlovic demanded his players attend a double training session as punishment.

Eto'o, though, opted not to show up for the latter meeting, enraging his new boss who did not mince his words when asked about the 33-year-old:

"To argue it takes two people, however, he is the one with the problem," the Serbian tactician stated.

"He just left and it has shown a total lack of respect for me and the entire team."

Yet, when asked directly about what action the club would take, he was quite vague in his response:

"[To be honest], I do not know what the club plans to do."

Who'd have thought, a professional footballer too big for his boots.
