To celebrate this special occasion, the Club's official charity has launched its first ever Blue Nose Day and has produced limited edition #eitc27 Blue Noses for fans to wear to the game against the Foxes and show their support for all that Everton in the Community does. Everton manager Roberto Martinez said: “Lots of good work goes on behind-the-scenes constantly and we are all very proud of what has been achieved by Everton in the Community. “The amount of lives and families that have been touched by this work is remarkable — it's a formidable aspect of our football club. Article continues below video content “This is something to celebrate and support on Sunday because the work that has been done throughout Merseyside is fantastic. “We are filled with pride by the results of some of these projects and programmes, such as Imagine Your Goals, which helps those with mental health issues, and our Disability Empowerment programme. “These are only a couple of examples and all of this work since 1988 is very significant. It has been pioneering and very genuine. It is a great opportunity to celebrate this on Sunday.” Blue Nose Day has had support from fans across the world including from former Rugby Star Matt Dawson who tweeted his support alongside Evertonian MP Andy Burnham. Fans attending Everton's Europa League fixture in Switzerland sported Blue Noses in supported of the charity and the day has even attracted attention from Swiss media prior to Everton's game against BSC Young Boys. A host of activities are scheduled for Blue Nose day with fun for all the family to join in with as well as the opportunity to win prizes if you are pictured wearing your #eitc27 Blue Nose at the game. These limited edition #eitc27 Blue Noses are available to buy now from Everton One and Park End Reception for a suggested donation of just £2 and will be available in store at Everton Two from Monday 16 February. Blue Noses will also be available to buy on the day of the game at various points around Goodison Park including the Fanzone. Fans are reminded to tweet their support for the Club's official charity in the build up to the fixture by posing for a selfie in the limited edition Blue Noses using #eitc27. All money raised from the sale of the #eitc27 Blue Noses goes direct to Everton in the Community to enable them to raise vital funds to continue the fantastic work they deliver throughout Merseyside.
