Finally, we have a set of proper statistics to back up observations so many fans have been making regarding the team. Key themes – such as the ineffectiveness of the Gareth Barry / McCarthy axis, the poor defensive organisation, the lack of cutting edge, are all comprehensively covered. Martinez may not read these pages, but I hope he and his coaching staff have these statistics put under their noses.

Mike is right and there is the problem. Although the system isn't working, Martinez sticks to it and then makes poor panic-induced substitutions.

For me, with the mess the club is in, his biggest mistake was putting Howard back in; he needs to be dropped. At least Barry is out for 2 games... I truly hope we have Ossie and Stones back for Sunday.

It's no good having a long-term plan or doing well in Europe if we are playing in a lower league.

I still hope and think we will stay up as the players who all need, with a few exceptions, to look long and hard in the mirror.

It has to reflect on the manager when a team comprised entirely of full internationals, paid more than most in the division, are scuffling about at the wrong end of the table.

Martinez's lack of a Plan B when things are not working us becoming a major worry.
