John Lundstram's latest loan spell takes him to Glanford Park and an initial month-long stint with Sheffield Scunthorpe United.

The England U20 midfielder has already had loan terms with Leyton Orient and Blackpool this season.

Pretty sure he's joining Scunthorpe United, not Sheffield United.

It's sad to discard players but I think we should sell Lundstram and McAleny for nominal fees and get a good percentage if they come good – like we did with Forshaw.

How are Lundstram and McAleny going to get near the first team when we have more younger promising players like Ledson and Long ahead of them now. Both of whom look like they will be in the first team squad next season.

Good news for Lundstram who will be able to exchange passes with better players.

Gavin. With Martinez, the bench is about as far as any youngster will get and they will all be wise to seek a career elsewhere.

Agree with Gavin, it doesn't look like Lundstram is going to be able to force his way through. Could be a late developer but really you would hope for players at this age to be taken by championship clubs if they were almost ready for the PL.

I wonder why it is that we loaned Mcaleny to Cardiff where he mostly sits on the bench but sold them Kennedy who is 2 years younger but seems to have started alot of games. Given our dearth of effective wingers you'd thought he might be one we would hold onto...
