Everton have sent David Henen to League One Fleetwood Town for a month-long loan spell.

The 19-year-old striker will get his first taste of life away from Everton's U21s setup after scoring three goals for David Unsworth's team so far this season.

Fleetwood have four fixtures scheduled for the four weeks Henen will spend there – against Peterborough, Swindon, Millwall and Blackpool.

Henen arrives at Highbury Stadium along with Reading winger Tariqe Fosu who has signed on until January.

I would have thought Henen would have gone to a club at a higher level but, at the same time, it's only for a month and it puts him in the public eye.

We've heard all the hype; hopefully it's time to see if Henen really has what it takes.

Age 19, League 1 is about right for a lad who needs minutes on the pitch. Some of our loanees are recalled because they sit on the bench every week. Many loan signings have spent long periods on our bench.

Let's hope this gives him a chance to show what all the fuss was about when we first signed him.

From what I've heard about him, this kid will be in the first team squad sooner rather than later. Everyone at the club seem to be very excited with him.

Best of luck to him though. I'm always dubious about these month-long loans. Not really long enough to settle somewhere. Guess it's just a taste.

Playing in League One will, or should toughen him up. He has good skills but doesn't like the rough side of the game, and goes down too easily when I've seen him, so a few games in this league won't do him any harm.

Good luck to him. It might be to early but it would be great to see him in the first team squad for next season. I think he's going to be an excellent wing forward in the Deulofeu mould.
