Henen extends Fleetwood stay by a month

David Henen has had his loan spell with Fleetwood Town extended until early January.

The 19-year-old Belgian has been with the League One side since the middle of last month making five appearances so far and recently got off the mark with them with his first goal in a 5-1 win over Swindon.

Fleetwood manager Steven Pressley is keen to keep the former Anderlecht player for longer and his stay at Highbury Stadium is now set to end on 2nd January.

One for three or four seasons down the line, from what I've seen of Henen, he could be a late bloomer like Leon Osman. A couple of loans over the next few season's should make him more tougher physically and mentally.

Hopefully next season he'll be ready for a loan in the Championship. Obviously no disrespect to Fleetwood but he eventually needs a step up in competition.
