A Happy Christmas to all Blues!

It can only be better than last December and New Year - so onwards and upwards etc.
If they want it badly enough, this season is there for the taking.

Festive goodwill to all (except Kopites and whoever we are playing)

May I take this humble chance to pay my annual thanks to Michael and Lyndon for the efforts they put in to the site. Barely a day goes by when I do not visit and review the opinions of the contributors. Do not agree with them all, but that is what forum is all about .

So, a big Thanks to you and I hope that we can all enjoy another year on here.

Lastly, can I implore all readers and contributors to add a few words of support to the guys in acknowledgement of what they put in to what, for me, is the best site around.

Best wishes to all!

Thank you Lyndon and Michael for your continued hard work and for making this site the Nr.1 place to go to for all things Everton. I very much appreciate your effort and am grateful for this site. Merry Chrimbo to you both and also to all of my fellow Evertonians . May we win the League Cup, FA Cup and Title in 2016. If that doesn't happen, then let's all keep each other company for another miserable season. We're used to that routine. COYB!!!

Merry Christmas to all ToffeeWebbers everywhere.
God moves in mysterious ways......I have followed this team for nearly 50 years and not been to see them nearly enough. Currently holed up in a hotel 100 miles from home as my wife had to go into hospital just before Christmas. I can see a football ground from my hotel room. The hospital is right next to the football ground (how do they get away with that?).......St James Park.....

As an old codger exiled to the South east, many thanks for all your wonderful work with this website. It helps me to keep in touch with the best football club in the world. My first match was Everton v Ipswich in 1961 and I have seen such wonderful players grace the old blue shirt. Equally, I have loved the supporters for their passion and often great kindness at matches everywhere. Lyndon and Michael, you have produced something much richer than a simple reportage of the the club, you have created a community and conduit for so many! You are modern Toffee heroes in your own rights!

Thank you M&L and L&M. A true labour of love.

To all the posters , the ones who've made me euphoric, sad, happy, despondent ,hopeful, curious, enraged, soothed and frustrated .

To the gudd and bad spelerz, the narks, the critics and the nit pickers.
I've enjoyed it all --most of the time, it's a bit like S&M.
Thank you all and carry on in the coming year.
I've often thought that following Everton is a bit like that expression about a journey "Sometimes it's better to travel than arrive "

Well, it's been a quite phenomenal Xmas day.

Dominated possession during the exchange of pressies, passing parcels safely from side to side (relying mainly on my right hand, it has to be said).

Dropped one, but showed great maturity and a fantastic understanding of the festive spirit to shrug off such an immense setback and display my intent to enjoy the key Christmas moments.

Still went home empty handed though, as I naively left the back door wide open and some ruthless, opportunistic, scrote bastard nipped in and robbed everything at the last second.

All the best for the festive season (and special thanks to Michael and Lyndon......for not banning me years ago).

Happy Christmas to all ToffeeWebbers from India.Great work LL and MK with the changes in the site not compromising what we stand for on TW.
Its been a sad season so far. The few highs have been drowned out by the lows of inconsistency and awful defending. It reached a peak after the Leicester game with me to be honest and I thought of stopping to watch for a while...after 29 years of following Everton. It made me sad that the players and manager don't take the games as seriously as us fans do. I work long hours and the few things I have to look forward to are my family and football. It really hurts when we lose/draw without showing any fighting spirit. I hated the defeatist attitude under Moyes but this lack of respect for defense is dangerous. Posession doesnt win us games....get that into your head,Roberto.Goals for us and none against us, does win us games. Hope we can get McCarthy back to shore up the midfield. Cleverly doesnt do a good enough job defensively. Jags is badly needed at the back and so is a keeper who can keep goals out! Mirallas needs a run in the team, as does Naismith. Hope the run of festive fixtures is kind to us for once...COYB

'Twas Christmas Day in the jailhouse
The Toffee was sat in his cell
"Put out yer puddin for Christmas"
He heard the warder yell
"If yer want treacle on yer puddin
Put it out without delay..."
So the Toffee put out his puddin
And the warder took it away

'Twas ever thus
Sweetheart! get me coat, please
