If Carlisle win, they might choose to play at Goodison – that wouldn't go down well with the TV companies.

I think BT sports are hoping for a shock result in this match; why else would they show it?

The Carlisle pitch was re-laid today and is due to be played on next Saturday in a league game. It won't be played at Goodison mate.

Carlisle have the small problem of Yeovil to negotiate first as well. The match will be televised by BT sport whichever team wins, and it will kick off at 1:30pm on Sunday 31st.

I thought clubs weren't allowed to switch matches any more – except in exceptional circumstances or on advice of the police due to safety reasons?

BT no doubt hoping for a shock on a dodgy pitch. This needs a strong team to do the job early and then get key players off.

Ray, league clubs (Premier and the rest) definitely can't, cos being able to host games against any other league team is part of the requirement for the league.
