Local boxer Tony Bellew's dream of fighting under the lights at Goodison Park is now a reality, with the a date set for 29t May when he will challenge Ilunga Makabu for the vacant WBC world cruiserweight title.

The lifelong Blue, who starred in the recent Hollywood blockbuster Creed which featured Everton's stadium as a backdrop, has always wanted to hold a fight at the Blues's stadium and he will get the chance next month.

Promoter Eddie Hearn explained 10 days ago that the last loose ends were being worked out with Liverpool Council before Bellew's bout with Congolese fighter Makabu could be announced but everything is now agreed.

Bit disappointed in Bellew lately. He's an Evertonian in a position of influence and opts to be another BK lackey.

Good luck, Tony. I've never been to the boxing in my life but I'll be there cheering you!

Phil, sorry that's ridiculous. He's a boxer, and some of these guys already spend too much time on the mic talking up ticket sales and talking down their opponent. The other thing is by the way, there are some people who actually don't think he should be sacked... What if Tony disagreed and supports RM?

But seriously. Where do you draw the line? The Governor of the Bank of England is a Blue. He should fuck that European referendum crap off and use his monthly briefing to the press to urge Moshiri to bin Martinez? Where's his priorities?

Amanda Holden? Instead of talking up some shit act on Britains Got Talent, make a point of getting your fellow judges to hit the X button in protest at Bobby?

Right now there's just been a radio report that 100-120 fans are still in Goodison almost 90 minutes after the final whistle protesting - I think the point is being made.
