Season › 2016-17 › News Pennington's hamstring blow , 30 July, 12comments | Jump to most recent Boris Streubel/Bongarts/Getty Images Matty Pennington is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in today's defeat to Real Betis in the Dresden Cup. The young defender had to be withdrawn with 12 minutes left of the exhibition game that ended 1-1 after 90 minutes and the Spanish side won 4-3 on penalties. The extent of the injury will be fully assessed upon Pennington's return to Finch Farm.
