Steven Higgott 2 Posted 10/08/2016 at 23:30:41 Not a bad draw to start with could give the fringe players a go at this one but we must take this competition seriously it's a way into Europe and that's a must if we want to crack on with this new era so the transfer window next summer will bring in the cream Garry Corgan 3 Posted 11/08/2016 at 00:16:13 Have we ever played Yeovil before? Anthony Dwyer 4 Posted 11/08/2016 at 00:38:46 Mason Holgate, Davies and Dowell with the rest being full strength should guarantee safe passage and give the young lads some real valuable experience.Great draw. Alex Kociuba 5 Posted 11/08/2016 at 00:44:40 Garry, as far as I can see no we haven't. Geoff Trenner 6 Posted 11/08/2016 at 07:45:12 Shame (for me) that it's not at Huish Park. Yeovil are my local team and most patrons at my local are Yeovil fans Alan Rodgers 7 Posted 11/08/2016 at 08:26:28 Garry, we played them in a friendly in 2000, winning 0-1. Scott Williams 8 Posted 11/08/2016 at 09:28:47 I was at that match. I think Thomas Gravesen and Gazza both played. Bloody gutted about the draw as I am based in Yeovil just like Geoff, whose local must be the Arrow? Victor Jones 9 Posted 11/08/2016 at 12:01:12 Let's hope that Koeman takes this game serious. And that he fields a strong team. Put this game to bed. Get a few favourable home ties. And the next thing you know, we are at the business end of this cup yet again. It's about time that we actually won this cup. COYBs Paul Ellam 10 Posted 11/08/2016 at 15:56:23 Agree with #2It's a great draw but one we must take seriously.I want an Everton team that is brutal and hungry in it's view to winning trophies and beating other teams. It's fine to put in a couple of untried players to give them experience but let's take advantage of this good draw and put it to bed as soon as possible. After 20 years with no silverware we should be taking every trophy seriously, we are not in a position to do otherwise! Alan Rodgers 11 Posted 11/08/2016 at 17:33:04 Scott - this very website has the teams. No Gravesen or Gazza I'm afraid.http://ToffeeWeb.com/season/00-01/reports/yeovil_f.asp Geoff Trenner 12 Posted 11/08/2016 at 20:21:39 No Scott, not in Yeovil, I live in a village called Butleigh near Glastonbury. Local is the Rose & Portcullis, I can recommend it for a pint and a decent meal at a reasonable price Brin Williams 13 Posted 12/08/2016 at 08:25:48 Really looking forward to this one - massive test! Brin Williams 14 Posted 12/08/2016 at 13:09:05 These are testing times! Andrew McLean 15 Posted 15/08/2016 at 06:52:27 I believe Koeman does take it seriously. Last season I watched Southampton play MK Dons in the 3rd round. He fielded a strong team. Stekelenburg was in goal over Davis. Fonte, Van Dijk, S.Davis, Rodriguez, Long and Mane all started. Bertrand came on second half to make his first appearance after a long injury lay off. Dons were beaten 6-0 Add Your Comments In order to post a comment, you need to be logged in as a registered user of the site. » Log in now Or Sign up as a ToffeeWeb Member — it's free, takes just a few minutes and will allow you to post your comments on articles and Talking Points submissions across the site.
