U18s come back to beat Middlesbrough

Everton U18s ran out 2-1 winners over Middlesbrough at Finch Farm today, strengthening their place at the top of the table after three straight wins.

Goals from Ellis Simms and Ryan Astley put the young Blues back in control after the went behind in the first half.

Everton U18s: Tyrer, John (52' Richards), Collins, Joe Anderson, Astley, Iversen (89' Warren), Hunt [Y], Carroll, Simms, Phillips, Hughes (82' Zuk).
Subs not Used: Barrett, Thompson.

Three wins from their first three games, top of their section. Ellis Simms scoring goals, backed up by Kieran Phillips, Bobby Carroll pulling the strings in midfield and a sound defence. Quite a settled side with four or five 1st Year Scholars usually starting... positive signs and a good start from the youngsters.
