Everton and Swansea City have played to a stalemate in their Premier League 2 clash at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Everton finished the first half well in the ascendancy but were unable to make the final ball count.

It was a game Everton will be wondering how they didn't win. The young Blues dominated for large periods and created a host of chances but couldn't make the decisive breakthrough.

Everton U23: Hilton, Kenny, Galloway, Charsley, Browning, Pennington, Evans (73' Gordon), Adeniran, Hornby (65' Lavery), Sambou (73' Bowler), Broadhead.
Subs not Used: Hewelt, Foulds.

According to another Everton website, Alan Stubbs is trying to get Fraser Hornby and another Everton player on loan for St Mirren, but having no luck up to now.

He's been asking Kenwright — maybe he's asking the wrong fella!

Is that three games with three different keepers? Certainly interesting selections and I'd love to know what Silva's assistant's thoughts were on the game he watched.

I've no idea the Goalkeeping pecking order. We have in order of age:

1. Maarten Stekelenburg - 35 (22/9/82)
2. Jordan Pickford - 24 (7/3/94)
3. Mateusz Hewelt - 21 (23/9/96)
4. Chris Renshaw - 20 (26/9/97)
5. Joao Virginia - 18 (10/10/99)
6. Joe Hilton - 18 (11/10/99)

Hewelt was the U23 keeper for a few years. Renshaw was the backup. Hilton was U18 keeper, who came from Man City (was he poached or was he released?), and of course Virginia is our U19 Euro winning keeper we signed off Arsenal.

I've no idea who the 3rd choice first team keeper is and I presume he'll work with the first team and so won't play for the U23s. That appears to be Hewelt. But is Virginia just getting games to get up to speed?

Oh, the joys of a wandering mind. If Stekelenburg was indisposed (I'm not wishing anything on him) would that mean we'd have the youngest goalkeeping squad in the Premier League?

Albeit I suppose goalkeepers can still be signed or loaned at anytime deemed an emergency even if that meant your substitute keeper was only a year younger than your first choice.

Anyone know if Robles is first choice at his Spanish club?
