Everton's trip to newly-promoted Aston Villa has been moved to Friday night and will now kick off at 8pm on 23 August with live coverage by Sky Sports. The home game with Wolves moves to 2pm on Sunday 1 September, and will also be shown by Sky, as will the trip to Bournemouth which is now set for Sunday 15 September at 2pm. Manchester City's visit to Goodison Park has been moved to 4:30pm on Sunday 29 September pending the reigning title-holders involvement in the Champions League the following Tuesday, in which case it will take place on Saturday 28 September at 5:30pm. Everton's game against Manchester United away will also be switched from it's scheduled 14 December date because of the Red Devils' European commitments but that new kick-off time will be announced later. Disclaimer Minik Hansen 1 Posted 05/07/2019 at 15:39:30 Aston Villa back in the Premier League, I'm happy because ever since I've started following Everton, they've been around and I've enjoyed the games against them (on tv mind you). It's this fixture that've been played most in the English football history, right? Derek Wadeson 2 Posted 05/07/2019 at 15:45:41 It was Minik, but with Villa's relegation it is now equal with Everton versus Liverpool. The fact that we are playing Villa before the reds this season means it will go one game ahead again as the most played fixture.Liverpool getting relegated would help of course in the long run. Kieran Kinsella 3 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:05:20 I think Villa have a bit of charm because they've got a weird old fashioned name rather like West Bromwich Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers etc. All the latter jokers just use the generic "city" or "united". Fran Mitchell 4 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:19:58 Friday night football. Fuckin' hate it. It should be 8 games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday, no alternatives. Jack Convery 5 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:22:28 Agreed Fran. Hugh Jenkins 6 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:36:51 Fran (4) - Agreed. It also distorts the table for a few hours at least. I just pray that Norwich can get at least a draw on August 8th, otherwise on Saturday, August 10th, 2018, before anyone else has kicked a ball in the EPL the headlines will be - "Liverpool top the Premier League". David Pearl 7 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:54:34 Oh l can guarantee that Friday night in will receive a WhatsApp of the league table. Gobshites Brian Williams 8 Posted 05/07/2019 at 16:59:19 David.#7.Dont think like that mate. A whatsapp of the league table might be the last thing they want to send you.It could be you doing the sending! 😉 David Pearl 9 Posted 05/07/2019 at 17:41:05 Well I hope so Brian. But would l do it after one game when nobody else has played? I'm hopeful of a good start for a change. We should really be beating Palace. Always find it tricky against Bournemouth though. Erm, this is our year! How about that... Brian Williams 10 Posted 05/07/2019 at 18:03:30 No you wouldn't David because you're not a horrible gobshite like those fuckers who would! If by some fluke the gobshites do win. Have the ones who are likely to send you the whatsapp, blocked!Keep em blocked for a day or so, they're that thick they'll have forgotten about it by then. Then just unblock 'em, if you must! James Hughes 11 Posted 05/07/2019 at 18:12:02 Brian, I still have fond memories of beating Manure second game of the season in 2012 (1-0, fellani) Gwladys st. end chanting we are top of the league!! Yes we can do irony Tom Bowers 12 Posted 05/07/2019 at 19:54:33 What really matters is who is top after the very last match and as RS found out after keeping bit warm for so many weekends when all games were played together on one final day they were an also ran like 18 other teams. Dale Rose 13 Posted 06/07/2019 at 12:42:03 Amazon Prime apparently are covering the derby in December so I'm told.
