Everton's Under-23s beat Brighton & Hove Albion's development side 2-1 as Antony Evans smashed home a winner at the death.
O'Hora looked to have earned a draw for the hosts when he equalised in the last minute to cancel out Anthony Gordon's early opener but David Unsworth's men went down the other end and won it with an Evans screamer,
The result preserves Everton U23s' unbeaten start to the season and moves them top of the Premier League 2 table on goal difference from Arsenal.
Everton U23s: Tyrer, Astley, Joe Anderson, Baningime, Feeney, Foulds, Evans [Y], Charsley, Simms (46' Denny), Markelo [Y], Gordon.
Subs not Used: Hansen, Mampala, Iversen, Phillips.

Just singled them out, but I hope they can make the progression to the Senior stage, but if Tom Davies is anything to go by, with Silva's reluctance to play him will have these lads thinking twice about their own futures with Everton.
Here's hoping that M Brands, who supports the youth policies, intervenes and convinces Silva that these lads in particular have the makings of fine Everton players of the future.

Gordon is the one who excites me. He's stepped up this season and seems capable of the sublime. He's been training with the first team and I'd hope to see him get on the bench sooner rather than later if he continues his form. Plus Dortmund bid for him and they know their youth players!

But they need a chance. I seriously hope Gordon is soon put on the bench ahead of Walcott, or I really can see a German club coming back in for him in January, and would you blame him id he pushed for the move?
Gibson is another who I feel should get a chance, he's what we need in that he's left footed. Him and Mina could well give our back line more balance.
The next one is Astley, we need a right back as Coleman is clearly no longer a top-6 right back. Bisskak, Alexander -Arnold, and Aarons are three right backs who broke into then teams as teenagers and took it by storm. no need to send them on loan for 3 years.

We risk losing some extremely promising young players if they never get a look in and then see some of the total dross that gets a run out.
