James # Everton's last victory over our rivals was at Goodison in Oct 2010 when we won 2-0 the Gosling game was in 2009 when we went on to the final with Chelsea and our last victory over the park was in 1999 courtesy of Kevin Campbell. But he might just get his chance before long, but at 21 years of age he needs his chance soon.

We all seem to be getting very good at feeling sorry about ourselves. The draw has been made.. we have been dealt this hand so we just have to get on with it.
We really need to change this defeatist attitude and approach.
We haven't had good results at their place recently in the past.. but the key part of that sentence is.. it's in the past.
If our team went into the future derbies with this defeatist attitude we'd never win there again.

My first Derby game was when Everton played Liverpool in a cup tie in 1955. We were doing quite well in the old First Division, they were way down the old Second Division. We lost 4-0. So surprise cup results are possible, especially as they'll have been playing in the so-called world club championship.
However, I think realistically this draw will allow us to concentrate on the relegation battle we're already in.

Dermot @167 Whilst being up for the fight is very commendable and I'll be as desperate as anyone for us to get results in both upcoming matches, experience of the last 10 years is the sole cause of any negativity on TW. Of course we will all be up for the fight on the day, but bitter experience tells me we will end up a bit like the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Beaten but desperate for another chance to turn things round.

Of the two, getting a result tomorrow is far more important because we desperately need some points and something - anything - to help restore confidence.

Remember that black cat versus Wolves - I bet he was a RS. If I was Silva I'd visit a gypsy and get the curse lifted asap. The only consolation is that Klopp would not want this tie either.
