Disclaimer Ray Roche 1 Posted 11/03/2020 at 15:39:41 Overlooked again. Waste of time taking those certificates.â˜¹ï¸ Jay Wood[BRZ] 2 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:02:42 To be fair, Ray, there are tens of thousands of candidates. To be an Evertonian makes us all certified. Ray Roche 3 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:10:15 Suppose you're right Jay, but that Cycling Proficiency Test was a tough one. And the 25 yards at Dovecot Baths nearly killed me. All for nothing. Jay Wood[BRZ] 4 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:19:40 No mention of partnering up with Sigurdsson in the three-legged race (slowed you down, did he?), Marco Silva for the sack race, or any fragile midfielder we've signed in the last few seasons in the egg-and-spoon race, I note Ray... no wonder your application was knocked back! Jim Burns 5 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:21:27 Just realised why the wheels came off on Sunday – they're all in self-isolation – apart from the Bigyun. Ray Roche 6 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:32:02 I didn't apply Jay. I expected to be headhunted. Gerard McKean 7 Posted 11/03/2020 at 16:34:33 You've evoked some old memories there, Ray! As an 11 year old I had to all kinds of mad things at Dovecot Baths to get my personal survival award; jumping in the water from 5 metres in pyjamas that had to be tied by a cord at the waist and then making an air cushion out of the pyjama bottoms using the cord to tie it up before staying afloat for 10 minutes using only the cushion to do so. Personally I thought I had already deserved the survival award just by making it from Speke to Dovecot and back in one piece. I doubt that any of Carlo's fitness gurus could do the water tests but I'd accept that an 11 year old Duncan would have have had no bother with any of the local ne'erdowells in Speke or Dovecot and all points in between. Patrick McFarlane 8 Posted 11/03/2020 at 17:15:43 I'm curious as to why it has taken 3 months to announce who these people are and what their job descriptions are. Anyway, most of them are Championship level at best and none of them would get a job with a top-six club... Only at Everton, Eh? :) Jay Wood[BRZ] 9 Posted 11/03/2020 at 19:26:47 Patrick @ 8."I'm curious as to why it has taken 3 months to announce who these people are"Improving their English sufficiently enough to make this video maybe?LinkEvertonTV is poor in broadcasting promised academy games, but increasingly they are producing high quality content videos. This is one such example. The 'Behind the scenes' matchday videos are very slick productions these days. Brent Stephens 10 Posted 11/03/2020 at 19:31:08 Is it possible they've been sorting out other, contingent contractual issues before they could put these in place? Jim Harrison 11 Posted 11/03/2020 at 20:49:29 Can't knock their CVsHopefully Brands can get to work giving them a squad worthy of our expectations David Pearl 12 Posted 11/03/2020 at 21:02:33 Pile of shite. I want all of Wigan's background staff back. Martin Mason 13 Posted 11/03/2020 at 22:24:24 Some of them sound like they aren't English? Surely this is absolutely crap for an English team that has just left the EU? Oliver Molloy 14 Posted 11/03/2020 at 22:36:48 See that man Simone that's the man that would change Everton. Tony Hill 15 Posted 11/03/2020 at 22:38:57 Mental steel and nous in important games.. We have had neither of those things for a long, long time. Brian Williams 16 Posted 11/03/2020 at 23:00:32 Rob. Gonna be busy on the Echo online tomorrow, mate! Patrick McFarlane 17 Posted 11/03/2020 at 23:21:46 Jay #9 Thanks for the Link, all Itallian line-up but strangely only Duncan seems as if he could be a fully paid up Mafia member. At least they picked a good day to release the video. See a few Atletico fans had an Everton flag at tonight's game. I was joshing in my earlier post I wanted to see what it was like to be negative about Everton for the sake of it – I didn't like it. Eric Myles 18 Posted 11/03/2020 at 23:53:47 Andy #11, some years back the ref's association did their own investigations to see if refs favoured home teams as all the fans seemed to think. They found it's true – and the team with the most favourable decisions at home was ... ???You guessed it: Our neighbours. Steve Ferns 19 Posted 12/03/2020 at 08:00:19 They've all been there since not long after Ancelotti came. I think only Fulco didn't join straight away. The fact that Fulco is married to Carlo's daughter meant he was always coming, not sure what the delay was there.Francesco Mauri is the main fitness guy and the son of Carlo's long term fitness coach, Giovanni Mauri. Giovanni retired after criticism at Bayern, and Francesco who had worked under Carlo and his father, was promoted to being main man at Napoli.I don't think Davide Ancelotti and Duncan Ferguson are joint assistant managers. They are both assistant coaches. There is something lost in translation there.I still think we lack a technical coach and hope that's addressed in the summer. Derek Knox 20 Posted 12/03/2020 at 08:35:33 Steve F, you make it sound like that 1971 hit by 'Sly and the Family Stone, It' a Family Affair' smacks of nepotism, but if it brings success, it will be justified. :-) Martin Nicholls 21 Posted 12/03/2020 at 09:01:20 Any of that "team" qualified to "get into the heads" of our mentally weak squad members? Kristian Boyce 22 Posted 12/03/2020 at 14:30:02 As Steve said, most of them been here a while. Didn't Carlo Ancelotti make a statement a couple of weeks ago about them needing to improve their English? From watching the video, there's a couple who might be a little hard to understand (not including Duncan), but most seem pretty fluent. Des Farren 23 Posted 12/03/2020 at 19:59:17 May be "crap", Martin, but European law is still supreme in the UK. Tony Twist 24 Posted 12/03/2020 at 22:28:08 What about the sports psychologist, we definitely need one of them.
