Season › 2020-21 › News Everton U18s lose to a late goal against Liverpool in mini-derby Saturday, 27 February, 2021 3comments | Jump to most recent Everton U18s are at the Liverpool Academy to take on their local rivals in the U18 Premier League on Saturday morning. The Blues were trailing 1-0 at half-time, having fallen behind to a goal inside the first minute. It was somewhat unlucky as Zan Luk-Leban had made a smart save only to the loose ball cannon off a Liverpool player and into the net. The young Everton side did everything but score in the rest of the match, putting on a fine show until added time when they thought they'd salvaged a share of the spoils, with substitute Rafa Garcia fouled inside the box. Tom Cannon kept his composure to successfully convert the penalty to seemingly rescue a point before, unbelievably, they gave up a late goal to present Liverpool with a 95th-minute winner. Everton U18s: Leban, Mallon (72' Quintyne), Lowey [Y:76'], Kristensen, Welch [Y:42'], Hagan, McAllister (68' Jagne [Y:76']), Butterfield, Cannon, Warrington (79' Garcia), Whitaker. Subs not Used: Stewart. Reader Comments (3) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. Comments are the responsibility of the poster.
