Disclaimer Jack Convery 1 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:34:14 Anyone else notice Bill Kenwright's quote on the official website, was not actually a ringing endorsement! Anthony Murphy 2 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:44:57 Yes, Jack.Is there a press conference planned or have I missed it? Will Mabon 3 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:48:04 Michael, all exactly as you'd expect, very structured. "Nothing to see here". Kevin Prytherch 4 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:52:10 Jack – it's still Bill's fault though, if it goes pear-shaped. Nick Page 5 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:53:19 Kevin, Bill shouldn't be there, full stop. Will Mabon 6 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:53:24 Anthony, I can't find one as yet; may be along later. Michael Kenrick 7 Posted 30/06/2021 at 16:59:28 The interview pre-briefing was: "Say anything you like, Farhad, just don't mention Liv-er-pool!" Duncan McDine 8 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:01:45 Nick, Bill is still there because Moshiri wants him there and doesn't want to spend time pissing about with Everton matters. Piss up in a brewery. RAFA OUT – only joking, kind of. Dale Self 9 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:04:21 Not really the forum I was thinking he should make that statement but I'll check it out. back in 30Yeah, that is simply not good enough. This is looking like a best business option, sorry mates. Geoff Williams 10 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:36:09 His CV is so good that he was seen as too good for Spurs and Crystal Palace. I often wonder how Moshiri made his billions as he seems a totally inept businessman and whose judgment on football matters is so suspect. Bobby Mallon 11 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:37:48 I have been reading the official site's interview with Moshiri. Does anybody know who the interviewer was? Does he/ she not have any gumption? Not one question asking the owner why he has split the fan base with Rafa's appointment. Barry Hesketh 12 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:41:25 BobbyThe interview would have been carried out by a club employee or at least by somebody reliant on the club's money, and I'm not even sure the answers came directly from Moshiri himself, it was so scripted it was untrue. Mike Gaynes 13 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:56:16 I would LOVE to see a true press conference with our owner. It will never happen. Because Moshiri is, in fact, a very smart man who avoids public attention, and the last place he should be (for his own benefit) is in front of a skeptical, aggressively questioning press pool. He will have learned from his original management at accounting firms like Ernst & Young and Deloitte Touche, and later from his mentor Usmanov, that absolutely nothing good can happen for you at a press conference in an uncontrolled setting. So quit dreaming, boys and girls. This PR pap is likely the sum total of what we will hear from him. Dale Self 14 Posted 30/06/2021 at 17:58:42 Which is why we're pissed off and not letting go of it, Mike.Don't want to talk directly to us. Fine, we'll do the talking. This isn't just a cozy little business arrangement to be PR'd. There is a culture here and it damn well better be respected or the party is over for the Aristocrats. Barry Rathbone 15 Posted 30/06/2021 at 20:58:47 "He has one of the most impressive CVs in world football."Fuck off with the CVs, Moshiri, you dullard. Carlo's CV was a corker and look how that worked out. Moshiri is the Iranian Prince Charles, dumb as fuck and rich by accident of circumstance (pal of Uzi) rather than personal endeavour.Whatever one thinks of Benitez, he has no leeway whatsoever so the odds are massive that it will go tits up. Moshiri won't know what's hit him when it does. Oliver Molloy 16 Posted 30/06/2021 at 21:11:30 Carragher sums it up perfectly: "Sit back with the popcorn and watch it all unfold." Brian Murray 17 Posted 30/06/2021 at 21:20:59 Bollox, Carragher. Wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire. Tony Abrahams 18 Posted 30/06/2021 at 21:42:57 This is the same man who, along with his big boss, partly wrote an open letter to Arsenal's board, for the benefit of trying to get the fans onside. Maybe they don't think they need the fans on board at Everton, because it's different when you actually own the club. (Very big mistake!) Whilst I've learned from what Mike G has just said, I do think that Moshiri or someone in the Everton boardroom has got to speak to the fans soon, explaining in detail the reason behind this divisive appointment, and the real direction they want us to go in, considering the lack of strength and depth in our current squad. Mick Roberts 19 Posted 02/07/2021 at 18:40:40 Moshri has totally ignored the opinions of the majority of fans, basicily giving us the twos-up. Total hypocrite after the way he slagged off the so-called Top 6 about getting the fans onside. Obviously he doesn't think we count. Well, there is one thing he won't be counting and that's my ticket money for the matches and I would urge everyone else to do the same. It's the only way this bigot will take note. Martin Mason 20 Posted 03/07/2021 at 19:34:31 Bobby@11 Do you think they would have allowed an interview on any other basis? Martin Mason 21 Posted 03/07/2021 at 20:29:59 Barry, EFC's problem is that it has "fans" like you. The outcome that you describe is what you want. It gives you a reason to exist? Jerome Shields 22 Posted 04/07/2021 at 07:26:53 Tony #18I agree, but I don't think it will happen. Kenwright won't, already having distanced himself. Moshiri feels he has done enough. Denise and Marcel will only enthuse about his arrival. Matthew Williams 23 Posted 04/07/2021 at 16:01:22 I truly am beginning to despise this bloke!.Totally clueless. Kevin Molloy 24 Posted 04/07/2021 at 16:21:53 I do wonder if some Evertonians realise who owns the club? We have an Abramovich situation here, with the same links to Putin and all that goes with that. These chaps make Peter Johnson look like Father Christmas. Let's just hope their plan comes off, they make their money, and we are moved on. But marching on Goodison, or whatever... that ain't gonna fly. Not with these people. The last thing we want to do is tick them off. Danny O’Neill 25 Posted 04/07/2021 at 16:33:46 You mention Putin, Kevin, and without turning it all political, it's a good reference point for the Russian psyche, if we consider Usmanov our owner's backer. Thick-skinned, don't care what anyone agrees with them and continue doing what they want to do. And, just deny everything if accused of foul play.Crimea. Remember the pictures of occupying Russian soldiers. Only they had no markings, so the official line from Moscow was "Not us, m'lord. They're not Russian. Nothing to see here".Weeks later, Crimea annexed by Russia and Putin flies in as the victor having denied it to the entire world. As you indirectly say, ruthless in their intent and don't really care what anyone thinks of their actions.
