Season › 2021-22 › General Forum International Fan Seeking Help By William Baell 04/03/2022 Share: Hey Toffees! I am from Australia but am traveling to the UK early April in hopes of attending the Everton v Manchester United game. I am an International Member (as of yesterday) and was just wondering if that would be enough to assure me a ticket to the match? It has always been a dream of mine to attend Goodison Park ever since Timmy Cahill made me fall in love with this beautiful club. But also I am a little worried that I won't be able to purchase a ticket knowing that it's such a huge game! I guess what I'm looking for is some reassurance or even for someone just to tell me that it will be near impossible to get a ticket. Any help will be greatly apricated and I'm so excited to meet some of you lovely supporters. COYB!!! Disclaimer Peter Mills 1 Posted 05/03/2022 at 10:53:40 William, I suggest you contact the club directly, tell them your story, they may help you out with a ticket. Also, if you are prepared to, reply on here with your email address. There are some very helpful people on this site who might be able to let you have a ticket if one becomes available. It's Grand National day on 9 April, some may be persuaded to go to Aintree, leaving a ticket free. Good luck. Chris Leyland 2 Posted 05/03/2022 at 11:51:43 William,For both Liverpool and Man U at home members may have to have a purchase history already to be able to buy a ticket. The website states: A previous Premier League home match purchase history from this season may be required in addition for this fixture.I suggest that you join Everton Tickets Home and Away on Facebook as it's a good place to pick up a ticket and always at face value or below. Also @evertonsparetickets on Twitter. Finally, I might be abroad that weekend (I will know for sure later this week) and if so, I can buy you up to two tickets with my memberships. They go on sale to members on 15th March. If you are struggling then drop me an email Chrisleyland@me.com before 13th and we can make arrangements - face value price for the tickets of course. They just won't be the best seats in the house as they are more than likely obstructed view by the time they go on sale to members. Allen Rodgers 3 Posted 05/03/2022 at 23:15:20 Bear in mind it's a 12:30 kick-off. And it's Grand National day. Travel chaos and horrendous hotel prices. Enjoy!! Mike Gaynes 4 Posted 05/03/2022 at 00:09:48 William, I saw my first game at Goodison on Grand National day five years ago. It was one of the most powerfully emotional days of my life. Hope you see a victory as I did!Despite the race, I had no trouble finding decently priced accommodations at the Holiday Inn Albert Dock and the Premier Inn, so fear not. But if you're planning to travel by train, buy your tickets online, well in advance. I got that advice from one of the TW folks and it was wise indeed, because every seat was sold out. Make sure you meet up with as many TWers as you can. I made some deep friendships that remain strong to this day.Have a wonderful time and tell us all about it! Graham Lloyd 5 Posted 06/03/2022 at 01:47:22 Hi William,I did the trip from Sydney back home in December and January and managed to get tickets for the Brighton home game by joining the International Membership online. The tickets were released a few days before the general public had access to them but I don't know if that is different for the 'bigger' games. Shouldn't be IMO but probably worth calling the club to confirm. Safe travels and hopefully you will get a better performance than what I did! Ron Marr 6 Posted 06/03/2022 at 08:42:01 The last time we went to a game in England (2014) we bought tickets from Stubhub and picked up the tickets at the stadium. We had the choice of Wolfsburg on the Thursday or Crystal Palace on the Sunday. We picked the Premier League game with Everton unfortunately losing 3-2. I believe Everton beat Wolfsburg 4-1. Jon Harding 7 Posted 07/03/2022 at 13:58:52 G'day William!I'm very optimistic about you getting a single ticket. It's trying to get 2 or more sitting together that is always difficult. You should keep an eye on the club's official site which has a daily tickets bulletin. This will tell you when tickets become available to members and then on general sale.It will also have a link to the club's resale platform that I use occasionally and you can literally pinpoint your seat.Watch out for those obstructed views. It would be heart-breaking to come half way round the world and be stuck behind a pillar. The Park End is the best stand to avoid all this. However, I'd recommend you get a seat (not that you'd be sitting down) in the Lower Gwladys centrally behind the goal. That's where you'll find the authentic matchday experience and atmosphere - the most singing etc. My son is 21 and has sat all over the ground and will now go nowhere but Lower Gwladys. But beware, don't sit beyond row Z (AA BB etc) else you'll be dealing with those blessed pillars again. We look forward to your match report after we beat ManU!
