Kevin Molloy 2 Posted 15/05/2022 at 12:48:33 No matter how strong Burnley look, remember, there's always Leeds. Kevin Naylor 3 Posted 15/05/2022 at 12:53:54 1-0 Spurs. Brent Stephens 4 Posted 15/05/2022 at 12:56:45 A somewhat pleasing Spurs penalty. Get in! Martin Faulkner 5 Posted 15/05/2022 at 12:58:25 Atwell on VAR for that penalty... Dale Self 6 Posted 15/05/2022 at 13:01:10 Our Friend with a sketchy pen. I won't be complaining about that one. Lee Courtliff 7 Posted 15/05/2022 at 13:02:59 Ashley Barnes is a dirty, diving, moaning cunt. He deserves any misfortune that comes his way. Dale Self 8 Posted 15/05/2022 at 13:59:57 Good enough. Now for a Leeds failure and it is all set up nicely. Robert Tressell 9 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:02:25 Great result at Spurs. Burnley running out of games. Villa away and Newcastle at home.Come on Brighton, beat that dirty shower at Leeds. Dave Abrahams 10 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:07:11 What nerves where on show from Spurs, starting on the bench, and carried on to the field, Son and Kane had poor games and enough chances to wrap it up.Then the play acting and stupid fouls from the Spurs players, not to mention that terrific shot from Barnes that hit the post, but it all ended well for us Blues but if it had been any other game I would have wanted Burnley to win because of the antics out of the Spurs players.Come on Brighton give less to worry about later in the day. Ray Said 11 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:09:22 If we get a draw and Leeds lose today, then, we are safe? Kevin Naylor 12 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:22:45 Leeds 0-1 Brighton Paul Hewitt 14 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:24:24 Get in Brighton. 1-0 Kevin Naylor 15 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:24:35 Yes Ray, our goal difference to Leeds is far superior. Jamie Crowley 16 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:25:24 Ray - YES! Leeds would need to make up a 20 GD with their 1 game remaining and our 2 games remaining. Ain't happening. Jon Bentley 17 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:30:56 Fucking Moysie is going to win Liverpool the title! 🙄 Jay Harris 18 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:35:35 Leeds getting hammered. Brighton should be at least 3 up. Leeds crowd giving the side the bifters.Let's get behind our lot today and drag them home. Jamie Crowley 19 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:37:37 Jon -This may not be overly popular, but I honestly don't care what Liverpool do. I just want Everton to avoid the drop. I honestly could care less what Liverpool do. Mark Frere 20 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:38:16 John Bentley, who gives a fuck when we're fighting to stay in the Premier League. Let's concentrate on ourselves! Kevin Naylor 21 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:39:03 Jon #17 you can be sure Gerrard will have Villa wound up for the last game as well if City lose today. Mark Frere 22 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:39:35 Well said, Jamie, you just beat me to it. Ray Said 23 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:40:24 I chewed the nails on the left hand off. Saving the right hand nails for our game Jay Harris 24 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:41:20 Brighton so wasteful. You wouldn't believe the one on ones they are messing up. I hope it doesn't come back to bite them. Jamie Crowley 25 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:42:41 Mark -It's easy for me to say, I don't live in Liverpool. If I did, and I had to listen to all their bullshit and gloating, I might have a different opinion. As it stands, I only care about our safety. Kevin Naylor 26 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:43:14 Jay, Scoring has been their problem all season – just averaging over a goal a game. Jamie Crowley 27 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:43:56 Ray Said -You have the toenails in a pinch! Dave Abrahams 28 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:48:40 Not only Everton can fuck your weekends up: 2-0 West Ham!! Ray Said 29 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:51:10 The toenails went during the last match, Jamie – it's physically testing being a blue! Mark Frere 30 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:51:55 Jamie, neither do I. I am born and bread in Leeds and I'm surrounded by Leeds Utd and Liverpool fans in my area. I'm watching and praying my home city team lose to Brighton. As for the gloating I get from the Liverpool fans, I just give as good as I get. I'm not obsessed with Liverpool's fortunes - even though I always wish them the worse. Jon Bentley 31 Posted 15/05/2022 at 14:58:34 Mark / JamieAgreed about focusing on Everton. Just making an observation about the irony of which manager is giving that lit a helping hand. I'm more concerned about the Leeds result, which at the time of writing is looking good. 👠Jay Harris 32 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:02:21 Let's just hope Brighton see this out in the second half and we only need a point from our last 3 to be safe. Kevin Naylor 33 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:02:39 City will paste Villa next week and win on goal difference (sweeter) and parade the trophy right in front of Gerrards big forehead. Kevin Naylor 34 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:02:46 City will paste Villa next week and win on goal difference (sweeter) and parade the trophy right in front of Gerrards big forehead. Kieran Kinsella 35 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:14:13 What is Moyes game here? Now that they've missed out on CL they are playing again? Get beneath your glass ceiling and stay there. Joe Corgan 36 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:15:01 Anybody see the shots from outside Goodison on Sky Sports News just now?Blue smoke everywhere, loads of stewards. A real bear pit for the arriving Brentford coach.Didn't look like any violence or stupidity happening. Just hope the intimidating atmosphere doesn't boil over. Jay Harris 37 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:20:23 Kieran Moyes always had the hoodoo over City even with us but I would put it past City to comeback.Leeds coming back into the game against Brighton let's hope Brighton hold out. Jamie Crowley 38 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:20:49 Joe they've not shown that Stateside. I can't wait to see it.Fans have been so fantastic. Mike Gaynes 39 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:26:37 OG for the Hammers. 2-2. Dale Self 40 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:27:13 Yesssss! 2-2 Matthew Williams 42 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:31:36 Leicester score 4 down at Watford...sigh Pete Hughes 43 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:34:27 So, we become the only Premier League side not to score a single goal at Vicarage Road this season? Dear oh dear! Joe McMahon 44 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:39:28 Pete, we don't have a proven goalscoring striker, and being honest most seasons we never do, and it's never addressed in transfer windows. Brian Denton 45 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:39:58 It would be so disappointing if our not-given pen v City costs Liverpool the Title. I will cry. Jay Harris 46 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:52:12 Leeds 1-2 92 minutes Jay Harris 47 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:52:33 Leeds 1-1 92 minutes Tony Everan 48 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:57:37 Ft Leeds 1-1 Steve Shave 49 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:57:55 So Leeds draw level in 92nd min, FT there. Does that mean a win today will see us safe? Pete Hughes 50 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:58:57 Joe@44Don't you think even without a proven goalscorer we should have had enough in our locker to register even One solitary goal?Even a woeful Norwich team scored three there! Jamie Crowley 51 Posted 15/05/2022 at 15:59:07 Steve Shave -Yes. Win and we're up. Steve Shave 52 Posted 15/05/2022 at 16:02:12 Jamie we gotta go for it today bro, all guns blazin', balls in! Let's rip them apart amid a blue haze, Goodsion to suck the ball into the net and we can all breathe easy tonight. Will Mabon 53 Posted 15/05/2022 at 16:16:19 Things have gone mostly in our favour. Providing we keep the "Everton, that" at bay now, we should be OK. Let's get to it. Jamie Crowley 54 Posted 16/05/2022 at 19:56:11 If anyone is watching Newcastle - Arsenal, there's very little doubt in my mind the Saudi backed Newcastle United are a giant about to be awakened. The bar to stay up increases with each passing day. Rob Halligan 56 Posted 16/05/2022 at 19:56:26 As much as I hate Newcastle, I hope they can at least avoid defeat tonight against Arsenal. Only an Arsenal win will put them back above Spurs. However, a draw will keep them below Spurs, and surely Arsenal will know their Champions League dreams for next season will be gone, simply because Spurs play Norwich on Sunday. Hopefully Arsenal will be feeling pretty deflated come Sunday if they are still below Spurs, as I, and probably Arsenal, would expect Spurs to beat Norwich. Danny O’Neill 57 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:00:13 But Rob, are we going to Europe next summer? Rob Halligan 58 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:01:59 Danny, just make sure your passport is up to date! Jamie Crowley 59 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:05:06 This is why our game against Palace is the final straw, Rob.Arsenal need to win their last 2 games. If they prevail today, we will meet probably the most focused and determined Arsenal side anyone has seen in the last what? 3-4 years?Scary.Palace is it. Thursday is it. We have to get all 3 points and not leave our fate in the hands of the fickle footballing gods. Paul Birmingham 60 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:11:24 Just seen the Arsenal defender do similar to Branthwaite, and he gets a booking.Need Arsenal to beat the Skunks. Paul Birmingham 61 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:12:38 My thinking is that they don't take us on with full steam on Sunday, if they win. Rob Halligan 62 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:18:37 Paul, I think Arsenal will be a bit deflated for Sunday if they don't win tonight. Surely even they know that Spurs should win at Norwich. If Arsenal win tonight, then it's in their hands for Champions League next season, and will be going full pelt against us. Chris Hockenhull 63 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:26:24 Just seen on events page Everton Relegation Party has been organised for Pier Head Sunday evening. If the scenes of idiotic classless behaviour there a few years ago was bad.. this could be nasty. Liver Building will be in danger. Those classless idiots will demonstrate a level unlike ever seen before Paul Birmingham 64 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:28:13 Good point Rob.I'll focus all out on Thursday, and for an extra special Goodison night, that Evertonians will strive and pray for victory. But Everton are due a good performance this season v Palace, and this Thursday, hopefully it will happen. One of the most important games in the history of Everton.UTFT! Peter Carpenter 65 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:36:17 Arsenal to lose tonight, Spurs 6-0 up at half time v Norwich on Sunday, Arsenal give up against us in second half. Rob Halligan 66 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:43:55 Crystal Palace to avoid a firework display by changing their hotel to a secret location, somewhere outside of Merseyside.Crystal Palace hatch secret plan to avoid Everton fireworks threat Will Mabon 67 Posted 16/05/2022 at 20:49:06 Rob, I shouldn't laugh, but... Bill Gall 68 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:08:36 Why wasn't Almiron booked for a dive Jamie Crowley 69 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:12:48 Newcastle 1, Gunners 0.A deflated Arsenal gives us hope. Good point, Rob! Bill Gall 70 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:14:10 Arsenal losing to The Barcodes: 1-0 Dave Lynch 71 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:19:26 If we do go down and that lot have a party, expect carnage.Someone will get seriously hurt.Oh... and it won't be their fault either. Anthony Murphy 72 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:20:00 Newcastle look like they aren't ready for the beach just yet, which may help when they play Burnley. Will Mabon 73 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:21:42 ...and drive Arsenal, when they play Everton. Peter Carpenter 74 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:32:18 Better to have Arsenal chasing Spurs. At some point, it will become futile. Will Mabon 75 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:34:07 Peter - it all comes down to you-know-what... Brian Denton 76 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:34:15 Especially given that Spurs' last game is at Norwich, and Arsenal have no rivals for 5th place. If Arsenal lose tonight, their season is dead. Peter Carpenter 77 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:37:43 But, if we could rely on our own team to beat just one of Watford, Brentford or Palace, we wouldn't need to waste time on all these permutations. What a sad mess we are. Will Mabon 78 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:40:18 Sooner or later, we're due to slip up and win a game. Could be Thursday. Rob Halligan 79 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:41:33 2-0. Jamie Crowley 80 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:42:16 And that's that. 5th for Arsenal... Hopefully a scenario where we can get points. Still say it's Thursday or bust, but any chance to stay up I'll take. Oliver Molloy 81 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:46:20 Well then, Arsenal beaten by the resurgent Barcodes, led by a guy I didn't want anywhere near Everton! So it's a must-win game on Thursday – simple, yeah right! Jamie Crowley 82 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:47:54 To be honest, I can't see Burnley beating Newcastle… if Newcastle show up.Hell, even at 75% effort, Newcastle are a handful.I believe they're third in the table since the New Year, behind them and Man City? Peter Carpenter 83 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:48:31 Oh, what a shame. Poor Arteta. Another potential lifeline in place - a demoralised Arsenal. Rob Halligan 84 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:55:44 Jamie, if Eddie Howe is a real Evertonian, then surely he will have his team really fired up to go and beat Burnley, and do us a favour. Not that we will need it, as we will be safe come Thursday night. Paul Hewitt 85 Posted 16/05/2022 at 21:55:49 Burnley will beat Newcastle. Guaranteed. Oliver Molloy 86 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:03:24 Hey Rob,Bet you thought that kicking off on Sunday, like most of us, but oh no!I'm a fucking nervous wreck. Peter Carpenter 87 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:04:05 Oh, I forgot about Eddie Howe's Everton credentials. Another positive. Soren Moyer 88 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:06:11 Exactly the result we could hope for. Just in case. Well done to The Barcodes. I wish we had a team like that at least! Mike Price 89 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:11:37 Don't forget Burnley sacked Eddie Howe too. Sam Hoare 90 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:11:45 Newcastle will have a 5-place swing to play for on Sunday. Think Burnley will have to be at their absolute best to beat them. Rob Halligan 91 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:17:26 Oliver, I did mate. Got to keep on being positive though. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠Rob Halligan 92 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:19:10 "Burnley will beat Newcastle. Guaranteed."Would you put your mortgage on that, Paul? I guess you would seeing as it's guaranteed. Soren Moyer 93 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:20:05 There is a worrying pattern though! Palace have won each of their games recently after they have drawn their previous one!!!!! They drew 1-1 yesterday! 😨😨😨 Neil Copeland 94 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:41:46 We need to forget about Burnley and Leeds and just concentrate on beating Palace. There is no doubt what the atmosphere will be like but it will be tense and get worse the longer the game remains level. However, our chances of getting something at the Emirates improved greatly tonight and, although Thursday is still a must-win, it is also an "absolutely must not lose under any circumstances"; 2 draws and it doesn't matter how Leeds get on.But, let's do it properly and blow Palace away.UTFT Oliver Molloy 95 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:44:26 Arsenal will want to go out with a big performance after tonight.Listening to Eddie Howe, Newcastle have the flip flops on and Burnley at home will give it everything, as will Leeds away to Brentford. We must win Thursday, folks... How the fuck we do it, I don't care. Will Mabon 96 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:49:43 Ha! From Soren's pattern recognition to Oliver's put-it-behind-us-out-with-a-bang approach from Arsenal. The permutations never end!Meanwhile, back to Plan A. John Raftery 97 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:53:46 Arsenal have nothing to play for on Sunday. Both Brentford and Newcastle have a chance of a top-half place if they win. While I would still much prefer to settle it on Thursday, Sunday is not necessarily a write-off. Tom Bowers 98 Posted 16/05/2022 at 22:54:58 I think we are all agreed that our team has to take care of business on Thursday and not depend on Sunday's games.Arsenal will throw everything at Everton hoping for Norwich to cause an upset against Spurs. We are all hoping Frank gets his decisions right on Thursday so that we can all relax on Sunday. Soren Moyer 99 Posted 16/05/2022 at 23:00:12 If we are not able to win against Palace, at home, when our very existence in the Premier League is depending on it, then we truly deserve to go down. Don't you dare to blow our last chance, Everton! ETID. Will Mabon 100 Posted 16/05/2022 at 23:01:42 Personally, John, I think Lampard should be frightening the crap out of the players about The Emirates. We do not want to go there needing a result. Tony Abrahams 101 Posted 17/05/2022 at 08:31:38 Just woke up to this score now after going to bed early because I'd only got about 3 hrs sleep the night before thinking about Everton. No Aristotle that Arsenal. Arteta has probably learned more from Moyes than Guardiola, but seriously now I've had a good nights sleep, I can't wait for Everton to give it one last massive effort under the lights of Goodison Pk.To all the glass half empty's, keep posting the negative stuff, because usually the more positive people become, the more Everton let us down, whilst as for me, my only dilemma is staying away from Goodison, until just before kick-off, (a superstition I've had since Rush scored four) when I feel like going to the ground right now! Brian Murray 102 Posted 17/05/2022 at 08:39:22 Tony. I'm sure I left the ground as soon as Keeley got sent off. Me personally, I won't miss god's little acre one bit as it's mostly given me dark days. Thursday could top it. Let's hope not. Danny O’Neill 103 Posted 17/05/2022 at 09:05:49 Despite what's happened since, that match still has to be my darkest Everton moment.Glen Keeley. Thanks Brian, now I can only hear Derek Hatton. Peter Carpenter 104 Posted 17/05/2022 at 09:23:13 Soren, stay calm, there's another pattern; Arsenal have lost three league games in a row twice this season. We all know things happen in threes. Which means we have two more VAR atrocities and one red card to come. Brent Stephens 105 Posted 17/05/2022 at 19:58:27 Get in Southampton! Brent Stephens 106 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:01:07 Looking at the line-up of a certain side in tonight's match, have they gone into the game thinking this would be a walkover for them? Matthew Williams 107 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:06:16 So the Anthem booers are losing... come on you Saints, do them penalty-loving fuckers! Dale Self 108 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:08:13 9 changes, makes you wonder but likely Plopp was conceding while having an excuse available. It would be wonderful if he does not get a good response against Real. Will Mabon 109 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:14:21 In the distant past - and I can't remember the exact timeline - there were consequences for strategic fielding of weakened teams. Wonder what happened to that? Mike Doyle 110 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:43:54 Will #109, I think Leeds got into trouble for it back in the 1970s. These days – with clubs required to name a 25-man squad, it probably wouldn't arise. Anthony Murphy 111 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:44:09 Liverpool/Sky/Premier League will find a way 2nd half Will Mabon 112 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:48:48 Mike,I feel it might have happened more recently than that, but certainly far back - I just can't remember accurately.True, it's harder technically to frame/prove with modern squads as you say, but easy to see it when it happens. Eugene McLoughlin 114 Posted 17/05/2022 at 20:54:11 The fuckers still play well, even with a supposed weaker team. John McFarlane Snr 115 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:01:35 Hi Will [109] & Mike [110] Everton were disciplined for fielding a weakened side in 1966, I think it was an away game against Leicester City a 3-0 defeat. Liverpool fielded a weakened side against Wolves at Molineux, but because they won the game they escaped punishment. I can't recall the exact date that the rule was abandoned, but I would agree with Mike that it's likely to be what I refer to as the modern era, and the introduction of squads. Will Mabon 116 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:08:41 John,Thanks - it goes way back, then. I didn't know we'd fallen foul (I was very young then). Soren Moyer 117 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:14:05 Just read that Mino Raiola is dead! Had no idea. Ray Roche 118 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:17:52 Sir John@115It was against Leeds John and we were fined £2000, a decent amount of money then. It was before the United semi final I think. Stephen Vincent 119 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:22:16 John, Will, pretty sure it was abandoned when they brought in the 25-man squad. John McFarlane Snr 120 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:28:55 Hi Ray [118] you are correct it was Leeds, I should have looked it up, it's just as well that I didn't have a flutter on it, because my memory isn't as good as it used to be. John McFarlane Snr 121 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:45:45 Hi again Ray [118] I've just remembered that I meant to pass on a piece of advice, it's as follows, "Whether you grow old gracefully or disgracefully don't worry about it, the secret is to grow old slowly, otherwise you might finish up like me " Rob Halligan 122 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:49:48 As usual, I haven't watched the RS if there's another game on. Watching Forest v Sheff Utd in the play offs. Gone to extra time following sheff Utd winning 2-1 in normal time, so 3-3 on aggregate. Been a great game. Chris Hockenhull 123 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:49:52 John (115) It was at Elland Road in a 4:1 defeat we played the “weakened “ team before the Bolton semi v Utd. Off the top of my head so apologies if memory incorrect Chris Hockenhull 124 Posted 17/05/2022 at 21:56:48 Will (100) Wtf should Lampard be talking to players about Sunday when we have it in our hands Thursday????? Jamie Crowley 125 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:11:08 This Forest-Shefield game is fun. 3-3 ET about to go to pens. John Atkins 126 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:19:34 Well 48 hours to go before we know if we're going down to the last game of the season, pray to God this doesn't happen, not sure I can handle the stress and anxiety Please Everton get the job done and let's enjoy Sunday Jamie Crowley 127 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:21:08 John agreed. Don't want to be playing in the league I'm presently watching.48 hours. Have to win. Rob Halligan 128 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:23:45 Robinson, the Sheffield Utd defender, does the most blatant dive you will ever see to try and win a penalty. Had already been booked earlier, so why was a second yellow card not brandished, and therefore sent off? Only Michael Oliver, the referee can answer that!! Jamie Crowley 129 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:24:41 Ya Rob that was disgusting. Oliver did nothing. Totally should have been booked. That Kiaran Davis kid for Forest is a GREAT player. Will Mabon 130 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:25:12 Chris, it wasn't meant as serious. Jamie Crowley 131 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:25:43 Holy shit what a save by the Forest keeper. Oh my God that was brilliant. Bill Gall 132 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:27:14 watching the Forest v Sheff Utd Commentator on J.Moss referee ; if that had been a premier game that tackle would be a red card, and J.Moss is refereeing this game differently than a premier game. Thought the rules were supposed to be the same in any league Matthew Williams 133 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:28:10 ...and so,the misery continues... God,I hate them fuckers! Jamie Crowley 134 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:32:08 Nottingham Forest to the final. I hope they go up. I've never seen them in top flight football. That was a really enjoyable game. Jamie Crowley 135 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:32:37 PITCH INVASION! LET'S GOOOOO.hahaha Bill Gall 136 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:37:36 wrong referee it was M.Oliver got too many refs on my mind Shane Corcoran 137 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:38:41 Brilliant scenes at Forest. Jamie Crowley 138 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:40:09 It's seriously mind-blowing that an American can just cue up the internet and watch the semi-final in the Championship an ocean away.Technology is amazing.Shane - agreed. That was great to watch. Will Mabon 139 Posted 17/05/2022 at 22:40:48 Everton have reinvigorated the whole smoke flare thing.Anyone watching note the comments from the commentary team about the refereeing? Very interesting. Bill Gall 140 Posted 17/05/2022 at 23:00:34 Watched a replay of you-know-who's 2nd goal, the devil is watching over his children... even the commentator said he doubted that the player was heading for a goal. Soren Moyer 141 Posted 17/05/2022 at 23:10:08 I'm all in for bringing Refs from other EU leagues to officiate in the Premier League. Ours can fuck off to theirs, mind you. Danny O’Neill 142 Posted 18/05/2022 at 09:52:50 I guess this can go here, but even though I'm not a Rangers follower, best wishes to John Lundstram tonight. He stood out for me in an FA Cup match at QPR years ago and I always wanted him to succeed at Everton.A player very comfortable with and not afraid of the football. Something we haven't had enough off. In some ways when I look back, young Lewis Warrington reminds me of him a bit even though I am always hesitant to make direct comparisons. Bill Gall 143 Posted 18/05/2022 at 22:57:32 Rangers lose in a penalty shoot-out. Aaron Ramsey kick saved. Tony Abrahams 144 Posted 18/05/2022 at 23:00:07 Another player who had only been on the pitch for five minutes before he was taking a penalty, and missing Bill. Will Mabon 145 Posted 18/05/2022 at 23:00:33 I still don't like pens. Felt Rangers would do it tonight.Something else - who was that impersonating Ramsey, looked totally different, weird. Kieran Kinsella 146 Posted 18/05/2022 at 23:00:57 BillRamsey has proved to be a sick note waste of money at Rangers and Juve. No wonder he was linked with Everton last summer. Terrible penalty. Straight at the keepers shins. That said Frankfurt should have had a penalty in the first half Bill Gall 147 Posted 18/05/2022 at 23:12:12 First time I have seen Rangers this season and wasn't overly impressed, The right-back Tierney, looked good and they should have scored the last minute of extra time. Ramsey was too casual taking his penalty; mostly every other player struck the ball hard and mostly high into the corners. Kieran Kinsella 148 Posted 19/05/2022 at 03:41:41 BillIt was a weird game. Considering the quality sides both have eliminated, I was surprised both looked pretty ordinary at best. I'm from Celtic roots but I'd have liked Rangers to win for the boost to Scottish football but I think Frankfurt marginally edged it. Danny O’Neill 149 Posted 19/05/2022 at 07:44:08 I thought Rangers tired. The difference in standard of league they both play in showed. But that's harsh, Rangers gave a good showing. The BBC journalist doing his job asking Pat Nevin how the Rangers fans will be feeling then talking about despite that at least the weather in Seville is beautiful.Really? Aunty BBC and it's nicey nicey approach. If I'm a Rangers fan this morning, I'm devastated. I'm cancelling my TV licence.
