Season › 2011-12 › News Moyes: Liverpool will be favourites Michael Kenrick , 28 March, 17comments | Jump to most recent David Moyes says that Liverpool will be the firm favourites to reach the FA Cup final after the Toffees set up an all Merseyside semi-final with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday night. ?Liverpool will be favourites,? said Moyes after the game. ?They have beaten us twice this year, haven't they? They have to go into the game as favourites, and we will go there and play.? Moyes celebrated his 10th year in charge at Goodison Park earlier in March, and the 48-year-old is delighted to mark the landmark with a Wembley appearance in the FA Cup. ?I think anybody would think going to a semi-final would be an achievement, whether you have been there one year or 10 years,? Moyes added. ?But the thing about Everton is they have got a history of being in finals, semi-finals, winning things. ?I have not been in as many as I would like to be, but I actually think there are mitigating circumstances for that in a way. ?But Everton as a football club are used to it, it's been there many times before and this isn't a strange place for them.? Moyes used similar pyschology before the quarter final replay which Everton won in emphatic fashion at the Stadium of Light.
