Season › 2011-12 › News Cahill deflects speculation to focus on Socceroos Lyndon Lloyd , 5 June, 19comments | Jump to most recent Tim Cahill is keeping his focus on his job for Australia's national team amid speculation surrounding a potential move to the Middle East this summer. The Australian is reportedly the subject of interest from wealthy Saudi club Al Nassr who are trying to tempt him with a one-year, £2.5m contract. Though he didn't rule anything out, the 32 year-old wouldn't be drawn too far on the speculation, except to say that he is well acquainted with the region and that he would be addressing his future after his involvement with the Socceroos this month. "I know what the experience is like [in the Middle East]," he is quoted by AAP. "I have lived and breathed it." "I have played in two Asia Cups and I have got great connections with a lot of important people overseas. "I come on holiday in the Middle East a lot and I embrace the weather and the culture.'' "All these sort of elements of speculation will be dealt with after camp,'' Cahill continued. "It is always a compliment. I am a massive fan of the Middle East, the cultures, the people. "I have travelled a lot and I respect them a lot. For me, it is just to focus on the Socceroos and we will see what happens later.''
