Nathan Broadhead scored a hat-trick opening his and the young Blues’ account on 10 minutes, converting Michael Donohue’s cross with a far post header. He got his second of the game midway through the opening half with a clinical right-foot finish from inside the 18-yard box. Everton were dominant throughout and Broadhead completed his treble with a quarter of an hour remaining. Strike partner Delial Brewster was upended in the area and the 17-year-old netted from the spot to seal the young Blues’ fourth successive league victory. It means Everton Under-18s have only dropped five points all season, having won eight and drawn one of their opening 10 matches.
