U18s lose to Man City

Everton U18s suffered a 3-1 defeat against Man City at Finch Farm this afternoon. Ellis Simms scored the only goal of the game for the young Blues.

Their massive slump in form in the New Year continues following a stunning first half to the season when they only lost 1 game.

Ellis Simms got an equaliser after City had taken the lead through an early penalty but two further goals before the break put the Blues under the cosh and a serious injury to Bobby Carroll compounded their misery

There were no further goals in the second half as the U18s continue to drift off the pace after leading the U-18 Premier League for so long this season. Some early subs and plenty of possession but no breakthrough.

Everton U-18s: Tyrer, Zuk (46' McKeown), Collins, Joe Anderson, Richards, Iversen [Y], Adedoyin (54' Quirk), Carroll (38' Warren), Simms, Dobbin, Hughes.
Subs not Used: Barrett, Thompson.
