New American firm emerge as potential investors in Everton

| 17/02/2023 30comments  |  Jump to last

According to a report in The Athletic citing sources close to the club and the Miami-based firm, 777 Partners are considering taking a stake in Everton.

The report says that 777 are led by managing partners Steven Pasko and Josh Wander who have built a multi-club network featuring Genoa in Italy, Vasco de Gama in Brazil, Standard Liege in Belgium and Red Star in France while they recently took a controlling interest in Hertha Berlin in Germany.

MSP Capital, who were believed to be close to concluding a deal to buy 25% of Everton for £105m, are still said to be in talks while there are other, unnamed parties interested as well.

The Blues' owner, Farhad Moshiri, has been actively seeking investment in the club to help fund the next phase of construction of the Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

MSP Capital, however, were reported by The Times to be looking at a full buyout of Tottenham Hotspur instead.

They also have an ownership stake in Sevilla, although apparently shareholders blocked them from obtaining a majority stake. Seems like their acquisitions have been within the last 18 months so not a long track record to judge them by.

Is there a dance going on here?

MSP saying ''Look, Moshiri, we can go elsewhere, accept the offer.''

Moshiri saying ''Look, MSP, we have other interest, raise your bid to closer to what I want.''

MSP and Moshiri to meet in the middle next week?

Man Utd looking at Qatar money of £5 billion whilst we're looking at the cash equivalent of two-and-a-bit Anthony Gordons.

Enough to make Evertonians of a certain vintage weep.

The Athletic reports another Yank investor group is considering an investment in Everton. Miami-based 777 Partners, who own Genoa in Serie A, Standard Liege in Belgium and Vasco de Gama in Brazil, is the rumored group.

I have never heard of the founders, Steven Pasko and Josh Wander. Obviously their company website wasn't prepared for this news, because it has crashed.

One additional tidbit... the guy who apparently picked us out as an investment is 777's head of football, Don Dransfield, former Head of Strategy and Business Planning at Manchester City.

Now there's a guy with some expertise in running a football club.

I'm thinking about the feeder team model. Based on what 777 currently has, if they did invest in us, we will be at the top of all thos clubs for sure.

The Premier League has way more money in it than any other leagues. So we will be fed with players from Brazil and lesser leagues in Europe to show case some good players that they are Premier League proven and sell them on at a profit.

If it works, financially we'll be in a much better situation. We might not be winning the title but might be in the top pack where we used to be in Moyes's days.

Maybe if the Qatar bid is successful Ineos and Sir Jim Radcliffe will want to become “a British custodian for the club”

Now you're talking Nigel, that would be unbelievably good news

I heard Bill Kenwright, is furious. He's been telling his closet friends that he sold too soon and he can't believe how much money he would have got if he had just hung on a bit longer.

When Everton are sold, then whoever buys them at the alleged sale price is going to be getting great value. I just hope we get the right people when we are sold.

It looks out there Specialist Sport investment firms exist who invest in football clubs providing Sports management. Moshiri's definitely the man to management this type of investment package, because that is what he is good at.

Tony#13

Kenwright was in to asset strip Everton..But being a greedy bastard when he was in the position to sell Everton he wanted to stay on just in case he was losing out..He had not have the confidence to run the Club alone. What happened then was he got a investor who accepted his terms letting him stay on, but also realised the potential of Everton as a wider property investment. On top of that he did not know how to run a football Club ,and didn't realise that other 's would be able to run the Club better than him potentially increasing the value of the actual Football club.

Everything is cheaper in hindsight and Kenwright is now in the know , having been shown by Moshir I how it should have been done.Hell slap it into him he is now getting what all greedy bastards end up finding out.

Only that they feel terrible about not being wanted at Everton, anymore Alan. Denise can’t believe she’s still looking for alternative employment, and now believes she’s been getting used, whilst Sharp, has been studying that old Graeme Taylor documentary, and getting tips from Phil Neal, on how to be the ultimate nodding dog.

I think there might be a few cracks beginning to appear because when Kenwright said they’ve just got to stick together and ride it out, Sharp was fuming and apparently said Rideout, was shite.

He scored in the cup final Graeme, just like yourself, but fuck the footy, you earn more now than you ever did as a player, and don’t forget who you’ve got to thank for that privilege, son.

His closet friends probably frequent seedy little nightclubs in Soho!

Tony, you are amazingly well connected.

Surely some of the big newspapers will snap you up soon.

Full of shite those newspapers Phil, and you only have to look at some of Bill’s past interviews down the years, to understand this.

What was that advert Tony?

Churchill insurance and Winston the nodding dog? People had miniatures in their cars.

Stand up and be counted Graeme. You will be far more respected than if you continue to sleep withe enemy.

Looks like devine intervention here. As all you Bible Hebrew readers know.
7 is a number that frequently appears in the Bible, and its meaning and interpretation are very diverse. In the book of Revelation, it is mentioned no less than 50 times. Some believe that it is a sacred, divine number, and that it is related to God. They also ensure that a triple number like 777 has a supreme, complete and total meaning.
Jesus is a blue.

Wtf Paul, is this some Kabbalah thing? The only number that I’m interested in right now is 3 as in 3 points a game.

Without going into any detail, I find it sad that Sharp, has tarnished his reputation, and even sadder that it’s been allowed to happen, Danny.

Tony #11,

That's the key. How much the club sells for is almost irrelevant. Who buys us is everything. Knowledge and ambition are as important as the money.

Colin 24, Ah well here is your three connection.

Multiple threes (333) are used in Biblical discussions of the Promised Land. Although the phrase "land flowing with milk and honey" is referenced three times previously (Exodus 3:8, 17, 13:5), Exodus 33:3 (333) is the first time God commands the Israelites to begin their journey to their inheritance. The phrase "milk and honey," used 20 times in the Old Testament, describes the exceptional fertility and beauty of the land God promised.

Are we headed eventually to the promised land?

Sounds good; let's hope Moshiri sells a big slice of his stock.
