What's happened to the KEIOC website? I have tried to get on to their forum a number of times with no luck. This is after logging in.... Any information?

I don't know what the scandalous accusation was for over Kenwright allegedly trivialising rape. "Chairman Bill Kenwright predictably brought shame on the club by disgracefully trivialising the heinous crime of rape, but of course some will excuse him because he’s a blue."

Can anybody elaborate on this and put it into context for the rest of us please? More importantly, why would KEIOC not do so themselves? I think seemingly spurious and hysterical accusations like this without qualification make them look a bit of a mockery and a long way from the organised group they have previously appeared to be.

Lee, the fuss is over how Kenwright made reference last night to something "changing him" back in 2011.

In typical BK luvvy fashion, the whole thing was dramatically overblown as he made an indirect reference to his initial meeting with three fans from the Blue Union, where he naively spilled his guts on all things Everton, describing his personal feeling as if he had been 'raped'. Very unfortunate choice of words.

This was in context of having canned the AGMs three years earlier.... go figure!

The Blue Union fans become Shareholders
His "treatment" then becomes the reason for stopping AGMs three years earlier!

Such conflation in his mind tells you a lot about how how the masters think...

Disgraceful use of the term.
He won't have realised the impact of him using the term " I felt like I had been raped" would cause.
He would have been rehearsing the speech all day as well.
That just makes it worse.

C'mon Lee, rape needs "context"? Bill said what he said.

Now, if he'd explained how he was shooting the breeze about the Club with Blue Union members he bumped into and they suddenly restrained him physically, bent him over the nearest railing, tore the back of pants open, and took turns plunging their erect penis' into his anus . . . . ? He was raped.

That didn't happen, did it?

"disgracefully trivialising the heinous crime of rape" is correct.

Thank you for that James.

That's going to give me nightmares for a week.

James, I did not say rape needed context. I asked for context in KEIOC's assertion that he had made a statement of having been 'raped', i.e. did he say it during the meeting? Did he say something similar that they had misinterpreted, etc?

Your misinterpretation of my enquiry and child-like need to graphically paint a picture did nothing for your credibility. I asked for clarification and thank Michael for having done so. Now we have context

This is all getting silly isn't it

Whatever context it's was meant in I just can't believe a man in Kenwrights position has used such a term no matter what context it's taken in

Disgusting lack of class from the man in control of our club,he wouldn't use them words on tv or in radio interview,no he has an image to upkeep but then shows how he feels towards the common fan and shareholders by lowering the tone obviously to the level he believed to be appropriate given the audience

Lee, why haven't you read http://www.toffeeWeb.com/season/12-13/news/25001.html then you'd have the context.

Rape is no laughing matter. But James' description of a fictional Billy bumming was rather funny

That's ridiculous, James - I mean: "... pants ..."? Pants?!
