Selling Fellaini may not be as bad as first feared for Everton

Obviously losing a player of Fellaini’s calibre would be damaging to Everton’s chances of a European place finish next season but would losing Fellaini actually be as bad as it seems for Everton?

A fee of £23-24 million would be good business if the new manager was given all the money as promised.

I don't think we will receive anything like that for Fellaini; in my opinion, it will be Baines who is sacrificed to get the manger his transfer funds.

The best left back in Europe gone for around £15 million...

I think Baines is key for the club, if he is gone then I believe so are 4th and Europe.

The choices are to sell them both – bring in £45M and strengthen with five or so top signings and a loan or two. Honda, Striker, Winger, Midfield... and use the squad we had last year bar Fellaini and Baines. Pienaar, Gibson, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Jelavic, Mirallas – let's face it, we have a good team – we just need to up the numbers.

Alternatively, we do everything to keep what we have and add 2 or 3 plus loans. Both options give us hope for a good season. We are still underestimated and have quite a settled team.
