Widnes 3 - 2 Everton U18s

Everton U18s did not get very far in this season's Liverpool Senior Cup, losing in the quarterfinal at Widnes on Tuesday night.

The Blues fell behind to three goals from a vastly more experienced Evostick League side, while Paul Tait fielded some new names at this level: Rafa Garcia and sub Tyler Onyango, alongside inexperienced youngsters, Josh Hosie, Max Thompson and Lewis Warrington.

Rhys Hughes pulled one back from the spot for the Blues after Rafa Garcia was fouled in the penalty area before Kameron Stanley netted with 6 minutes remaining to ensure a nervy finish to a thrilling tie for the home side.

Everton U18s: Barrett, Zuk, McKeown, Collins (67' Jonathan Anderson), Warnock, Quirk, Warren, Hughes, Thompson (58' Warrington), Garcia (78'Onyango), Stanley.
Subs not Used: Tryer, Hosie.
