Young Blues fall short of U18s title

Everton's Under-18s were held in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Manchester City at Finch Farm this evening, a result that means they will miss out on the league title this season.

Nathan Holland scored a brace and Nathan Broadhead and Callum Lees grabbed a goal each but it wasn't enough to earn the victory that Kevin Sheedy's men needed. Everton U18s: O'Loughlin, Yates, Harrington, Denny, Lees, Yarney, Morris, Kiersey, Lavery, Holland, Broadhead.
Subs: Johnson, Mellen, Baningime, Bramall, Mampala.

Broadhead had the other goal aside from Holland's brace and Lees solo effort.

Unlucky lads, hopefully challenging for titles will become the norm for them as they get older – as Everton players obviously!
