Jagielka looking for a result at Anfield

Everton Captain Phil Jagielka is all too aware that Everton have not won at Anfield since 1999, a poor record Moyes has been unable to end. He is looking for the squad to perform the way they have for most of the season and come away with a result.

Pienaar converted the only goal to finish one of a number of sublime moves the Blues put together while Emanuelson went close for the visitors and Fellaini bounced a late, side-foot shot over an open goal. Spurs' draw at Wigan keeps Everton within three points of the Europa League spot.

Tiredness was mental, says Moyes

David Moyes was reluctant to accept the tiredness excuse being mooted for last week's poor performance at Sunderland but accepted it could be more mental than physical, as he confirmed his conviction that squad rotation was too much of a risk this season, and that 4th place was never going to happen.

As a Blue Union member, SOS1878.co.uk make no pretence as to their impartiality to the Bill Kenwright Board and it's reasonable to assume that, as such, their Web and social media following would feature a sizeable contingent of like-minded fans. Nevertheless, the findings of the survey reveal an undercurrent of concern among the respondents.

Everton must shed inferiority complex in upcoming away games

Whisper it quietly, but Everton are finding their form at the opportune moment. Home games against Reading, Manchester City and Stoke have returned three consecutive Premier League wins for the first time since January 2010. Enhancing their already exemplary home form, Everton have gained 33 points at Goodison Park with only Manchester United (42) and their aforementioned city rivals (36) gaining more points at home.

Moyes has grown to be extremely well respected and favoured at Everton, and that is not something to throw away lightly.

Why David Moyes should just admit he's staying at Everton

David Anderson thinks it's time Moyes nailed his colours to the mast. Reading between the lines of his post-match quotes after Everton's win over Stoke, he clearly wants to stay at Goodison Park.

He could use the announcement that he is staying to give their run-in one final push if he made it over the next week or two. That would be smart management. But I would not understand his thinking if he left the issue hanging in the air, causing nothing but uncertainty at Goodison, until the summer.
